Star Wars is an American epic space opera franchise, centered on a film series created by George Lucas. It depicts the adventures of various characters "a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away".

The first film in the series, Star Wars (later subtitled Episode IV: A New Hope), was released on May 25, 1977 by 20th Century Fox and became a worldwide pop culture phenomenon. It was followed by the similarly successful sequels The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return of the Jedi (1983); these three films constitute the original Star Wars trilogy. A prequel trilogy was later released between 1999 and 2005, which received a more mixed reaction from critics and fans, compared to the original trilogy. All seven films were nominated for or won Academy Awards, and were commercial successes, with a combined box office revenue of $4.38 billion, making Star Wars the fourth highest-grossing film series. The series has spawned an extensive media franchise—the Star Wars expanded universe—including books, television series, computer and video games, and comic books, resulting in significant development of the series's fictional universe. Star Wars also holds a Guinness World Records title for the "Most successful film merchandising franchise." In 2012, the total value of the Star Wars franchise was estimated at USD $30.7 billion, including box-office receipts as well as profits from their video games and DVD sales.

Katee Sackhoff

Kathryn Ann "Katee" Sackhoff (born April 8, 1980) is an American actress best known for playing Lieutenant Kara "Starbuck" Thrace on the Sci Fi Channel's television program Battlestar Galactica (2003–2009). She was nominated for four Saturn Awards for her work on Battlestar Galactica, winning the award for Best Supporting Actress on Television in 2005.

Sackhoff has also starred in the short-lived TV series The Fearing Mind (2000–2001) and The Education of Max Bickford (2001–2002); had recurring roles in the TV series Bionic Woman (2007), Robot Chicken (2007–2014), Nip/Tuck (2009), CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2010-2011) and Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2012–2013); and had a lead role in the eighth season of 24 as Dana Walsh (2010). She currently stars in the Netflix series Longmire as Deputy Sheriff Victoria "Vic" Moretti (2012–present).

From 2010-2013, she appeared as the primary film critic and entertainment reporter for KNBC and, on January 10, 2014, she began co-hosting FX Movie Download.

She has interviewed numerous celebrities, including Matthew McConaughey,Jared Leto,Robert Redford,Robin Williams,Robert De Niro,Barbra Streisand, Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Garner while reviewing films.

Chef

In 2009, Perl-Raver was a chef on Private Chefs of Beverly Hills. She began cooking to earn money at the age of 16 after finishing high school in three years. Since then, she has worked as a private chef for a number of celebrities.

Her recipes have been published in four books.

Actress

She has had bit parts in a dozen television shows and movies, including The Muse, and starred as herself in five series.
