A woman was taken to hospital after she was bitten on the face by a python on Magnetic Island late on Tuesday evening.
Paramedics were called to a private residence at Nelly Bay to treat the woman, who had been bitten on her upper lip by the snake about 10.20pm.
The woman, in her 60s, was transported in a stable condition to Magnetic Island Clinic.
It is not known whether the python was a pet or wild.
