Jake Webster's late try helped Castleford end a three-game losing streak with a thrilling victory against West Yorkshire rivals Leeds.
Tigers, having trailed at the break, edged a see-sawing game with the only points of the second half coming from Webster's burst and Luke Gale's goal.
Andy Lynch and Webster had given the Tigers a 12-0 lead inside 13 minutes.
Joel Moon, Kallum Watkins and Tom Briscoe all crossed in reply, but Liam Sutcliffe's two missed goals were key.
Castleford won both their Super 8s encounters with the Rhinos last season, and enjoyed a third successive derby win here as their opponents fell to their fifth defeat in seven league games in 2016.
The two sides are yet to hit their 2015 form - before kick-off, Castleford had lost three league games this year - and both sides were without key personnel, missing influential halves.
It was testament to both sides that the missing players failed to dampen the quality or intensity of play.
Daryl Powell's hosts looked to have mastered the arm wrestle with the two early tries, but Leeds showed champion spirit to fight back and lead by two at the half-time hooter.
Both defences were on their mettle in the second half, with last-ditch efforts keeping the scores level, while video referee decisions looked to have denied Castleford when they crossed the stripe.
However, Castleford's continued pressure was eventually enough to breach the Leeds line, with the powerful Webster crashing though to seal the two points, and continue Leeds' topsy-turvy start to the campaign.

Castleford is the largest of the "five towns" district in the metropolitan borough of the City of Wakefield, in West Yorkshire, England. It is near Pontefract, and has a population of 37,525 according to the 2001 Census, but has seen a rise in recent years and is now around 45,000-50,000. To the north the River Calder joins the River Aire and the Aire and Calder Navigation canal. To the west and south is the M62 motorway. The town is home to the rugby league Super League team Castleford Tigers.
Historically a part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, Castleford and its surroundings have provided archaeological evidence of Roman activity.
Castleford is built on the site of a Roman army settlement that was named Lagentium or Legioleum. Funeral urns dating from the time of the Romans have been found there. The town's modern name is derived from the fort, Castle (referring to the fort) and Ford (a low crossing point through a river).

Castleford engineer wins UK Bus Award • Anthony Lowe from Arriva Yorkshire’s Castleford Depot has won the Gold Award for Engineer of the Year at the UK Bus Awards Anthony joined Arriva Yorkshire in October 2011 as engineering manager of its Castleford Depot. At the time he arrived, the depot was experiencing instability and a new management structure had been implemented to improve the overall performance of the business. • Anthony Lowe from Arriva Yorkshire’s Castleford Depot has won the Gold Award for Engineer of the Year at the UK Bus Awards
Anthony joined Arriva Yorkshire in October 2011 as engineering manager of its Castleford Depot. At the time he arrived, the depot was experiencing instability and a new management structure had been implemented to improve the overall performance of the business.
Anthony's managerial skills proved outstanding as he led the team to achieve some of the best engineering KPIs Castleford had ever seen; this includes MOT performance in 2011 of 88.71% to 98.3% in 2013 and 100% in the first six months of 2015. Lost mileage was 0.47% in 2011 and 0.14% in the first six months of 2015.
The engineering department at Castleford delivered on every level, which is testament to Anthony's dedication and passion to innovate and do things differently.
Three apprentices have benefited from his commitment and passion to develop others and one of them is now a permanent member of the Castleford team.
It is no surprise that Anthony won Team of the Year at Arriva’s internal Regional MAD Awards in 2013 and the Castleford Team won the Arri-Va-Va-Voom awards and Engineering Manager of the Year at the MAD awards in 2014.
