Corwin Comments: The first time I saw this cover, I couldn’t take my off off it for at least 5 minutes in macabre fascination. The art work is amazingly detailed, right down to the untied shoe laces. Even so, three car wrecks, a space ship, and an alligator make for quite a combination with Jeff Martini and Katherine “Kitty” Katt.
Published 2010
Might be comedy, but I can’t resist a space alligator!
Many thanks to Corwin!

I think we need as many James Bond esk puns as possible:
Women: Where’s General Durkov?
Man: He’s… feeding the gator.
Women: He’s still alive!?!
Man: No no I killed him, I just thought….
Women: You’re dumped…
Man: awww…..

I’d like to point out:
1. Any tango wherein the gentleman must lift the lady and all four of her arms completely off the floor is alien to me.
2. “Alien Tango by Gina Koch” is an anagram for “No Tin Algae by A Choking”.
I don’t know…I’d read it in public!

Looks like they’re having a Dirty Dancing moment, but an extremely disinterested Dirty Dancing moment. “OK, let’s do the lift…” “Yeah… whatever…”

A sense of danger will be created if they’re looking in different directions, a sense of purpose if their knees are pointed all in the same direction.
-Really?
Yeah, you’ll see. Add whatever else you like: crocodiles, collisions, blurbs from the Midwest Book Review. Won’t make a difference.

Any girl who packs an RPG is my kind of gal.
This one flustered even the Roll Over Quip.

I really like this cover. If that makes me a nerd, then call me a nerd!

You know when you’ve been Alien Tangoed.

Not a good sign when the book review blurb compares it to two middling movies.

I want to read this book. (I know, the shame…

Can Gieco save you $15 in fifteen minutes? Does it take two to alien tango?

You know the review quote is taken out of context when it starts with “…”.
The FULL quote:
“My stomach flu is now on its third day, and my gut feels like an amalgam of Earth Girls Are Easy merged with Evolution… God, make it stop!”
February 24th, 2011 at 2:07 pm
The scrollover text is very …. laconic. Precise, though. I’ll give it that.
February 24th, 2011 at 8:14 pm
Well even the review quote itself “feels like an amalgam of Earth Girls Are Easy merged with Evolution”…is that necessarily a GOOD thing? Neither film was particularly well reviewed if I remember correctly.

I had some, er, private anatomy related spam in my inbox last week, and the subject line was ‘GINI KOCH!!!”

Yngve (#6), if you’re a nerd, I’m happy to be one alongside you. It’s really nice art and there’s a gratuitous reptile. I would want my as-yet-unwritten fantasy novels to have this artist doing their covers in this style.

Because of those red sneakers, all is forgiven…

I am gonna read this one soon 😉 loving the cover and can’t wait to see those gators in action

No offense, but this cover rules. I’m seriously going to read this book now.
March 15th, 2011 at 9:54 am
Offense taken! How dare you say good things! 😛

How is he able to achieve that position?
And where’s Alien Cash?
August 20th, 2015 at 1:25 am
The cover quote may describe this as “an amalgam of Earth Girls Are Easy merged with Evolution”, but what I’m seeing is “Billie Piper Meets Archer”.

@Perry: links to the fanfic?

So, are you saying there’s 19 titles in the series before this one?
Alien Alfa
Alien Bravo
Alien Charlie
Alien Delta
Alien Echo
Alien Foxtrot
Alien Golf
Alien Hotel
Alien India
Alien Juliett
Alien Kilo
Alien Lima
Alien Mike
Alien November
Alien Oscar
Alien Papa
Alien Quebec
Alien Romeo
Alien Sierra
And 7 more to come?
Alien Uniform
Alien Victor
Alien Whiskey
Alien X-ray
Alien Yankee
Alien Zulu
Alien Dash
There are a couple of misses there, but most of them seem more interesting, if not actually better, names than Alien Tango.
BTW, the author’s name is Gini Koch?! That’s about as inviting as Amnesty Pol Pot.

Oh my god, you know my uncle??!
