I really hope Hillary Clinton wins, says Vidya Balan

Mumbai, Nov 8 (IANS) "Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh", actress Vidya Balan has said she is rooting for Hillary Clinton in the US presidential elections.

"For American Presidential Election, I am praying for Hillary Clinton to become the US president. I follow her, because of her, I watch Television and debates" said Vidya.

Balan was spotted on the sets of "Savdhaan India" on Monday where she shot a special episode for the serial to promote her upcoming thriller.

With American Presidential Polls taking place on Tuesday, Bollywood has come out in support of Hillary Clinton. Earlier Priyanka Chopra encouraged Americans to vote.

Vidya Balan connected the election campaign with women's empowerment stating that it is high time for America to have a female president.

"It is high time we had a woman president in America, which is one of the strongest economies in the world, and then we (women) should take over the world," added Vidya.

"Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh" is an upcoming Suspense thriller film directed by Sujoy Ghosh and produced by Ghosh and Jayantilal Gada.

It features Vidya Balan and Arjun Rampal in lead roles. It is a sequel to the 2012 film "Kahaani".

The film is scheduled for release on December 2, 2016.
