A woman has been hospitalised with critical injuries after a serious assault in Perth's northern suburbs.
The woman was reportedly beaten with a brick and guitar at a home in Wythburn Avenue by a man she'd just met.

Woman assaulted in Balga
A woman is fighting for her life this morning after she was assaulted at a home in Balga. Vision: Nine News Perth.
The attack occurred in Balga just after 11pm on Monday.
Detectives are examining the scene and questioning a man over the assault.
A police spokesman said earlier reports the woman had been stabbed and struck with an axe were incorrect.
