Planet Earth has lost one tenth of its area of wilderness since 1993, equivalent to half of Australia in size, according to a new study.

The loss, mainly in the Amazon and Central Africa, highlights the need for global agreements to protect remaining areas unaffected by human activities, researchers said.

+Justin H do you even read and understand the articles you are quoting? The article states Israel made a mistake supporting Yassim over the PLO. I think you need to read and actually understand what is written, not just what you want to believe :) the article concludes

two parties who can't seem to live with one another — or apparently without one another either

Ahh the anonymity of the internet where you can abuse people and hide behind your computer screen.

You might not have heard of Aboriginal English (but you might already be speaking some).

AWAYE! | http://ab.co/2cxsM6A
Aboriginal English terms like country, deadly and gammon are part of the wider Australian vernacular while the latest edition of the Australian National Dictionary includes 536 words from Bundjalung to Yolngu Matha. The term country encodes cultural knowledge and also has a spiritual and philosophical dimension - the relationality of people to a certain place.

Tony Abbott has questioned Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull's decision to call a snap royal commission after Four Corners aired a report showing the abuse of children in youth detention.

"Governments normally need to pause and think before they take precipitant action," Mr Abbott told 2GB's Alan Jones this morning.

Mr Abbott said he was hopeful the royal commission would come up with "both sides of the story" and will takes the issues raised forward rather than just "attributing blame".

Today is RUOK? Day, and you might be reminded to check in with your loved ones and ask them how they are.

It’s a really nice idea when someone says they’re fine - but what happens when the person you ask says, “no”?
