The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has responded to demands that it take a close look at the dairy industry, indicating the industry is a likely candidate for the ACCC's next in-depth 'market study'. The calls have come from farmers and politicians alike, in the months after Murray Goulburn and Fonterra slashed milk prices. The ACCC is already investigating specific issues relating to dairy contracts and the price crash. Anna Vidot spoke to ACCC chairman Rod Sims for ABC Rural.
