Stripped (The Rolling Stones album)

Stripped is a Rolling Stones album released in November 1995 after the Voodoo Lounge Tour. It is a mixture of live performances and studio rerecordings of songs from their previous catalogue, the exceptions being new covers of Willie Dixon's "Little Baby" and Bob Dylan's "Like a Rolling Stone".

The two studio sessions took place from 3–5 March 1995 in Tokyo, Japan and 23–26 July in Lisbon, Portugal, while the live recordings are from July 1995 performances at small concert venues in London, Paris and Amsterdam.

Some CD versions of Stripped included an enhanced portion for viewing on a computer, including videos of rehearsals of "Tumbling Dice" and "Shattered" and an alternate performance of "Like a Rolling Stone," and interviews with Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood.

Stripped (a play on the title of Unplugged) was well-received and reached No. 9 in the UK and the US, where it went platinum. The lead single, a cover of Dylan's "Like a Rolling Stone," reached No. 12 in the UK, becoming a rock radio hit in the US. It was followed by "Wild Horses" in early 1996.

Stripped (Christina Aguilera album)

Stripped is the fourth studio album and second major release by American recording artist Christina Aguilera, released on October 26, 2002 by RCA Records. Looking to transition from the teen pop styles of her self-titled debut album (1999), Aguilera took creative control over her next album project, both musically and lyrically. She also changed her public image and established her new alter ego, "Xtina". Musically, its music incorporates pop and R&B with influences from many different genres, including soul, metal, rock, hip hop, gospel and Latin music. Lyrically, most of the songs from the album discuss the theme of self-respect, while a few other songs talk about sex and feminism. As executive producer, Aguilera enlisted many new collaborators for the album.

Upon its release, Stripped received generally mixed reviews from music critics, most of them criticized its lack of musical focus, while some of them called it an album for grown-ups. However, the album received multiple Grammy Award nominations, including one win. Commercially, Stripped debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 330,000 copies. Consequently, it was certified quadruple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for shipping over four million copies in the region alone. The album also charted within the top five of charts in Canada, Europe, the Netherlands, Ireland, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. It was Aguilera's best-performing album in the United Kingdom, becoming the 29th and 40th best-selling album of the decade and millennium there respectively, with 1.9 million copies sold. Stripped (We the Kings album)

Stripped is an acoustic album by American rock band We the Kings, and features acoustic versions of eight songs off their previous album, Somewhere Somehow, it was released through Ozone Entertainment on November 24, 2014 on iTunes. It also includes two brand new songs, "Stone Walls" and "Is This the End?".

Ogre (Tekken)

Ogre (Japanese: オーガ, Hepburn: Ōga) known in Japan as Toshin (闘神, Toshin, "闘" means "fight" or "war", and "神" means "God") is a character from the Tekken fighting game series released by Namco Bandai Games. Ogre is introduced in Tekken 3 as the main antagonist and as the final boss along with its other form True Ogre, and it has returned in Tekken Tag Tournament and Tekken Tag Tournament 2, although the latter two games are non-canonical. Ogre is the Tekken series' first main villain who is not a member of the Mishima family, though its power equalized to that of Mishima, and Kazama Clan. In the storyline of Tekken, Ogre is the war weapon which creatures from outer space left on earth in ancient times. It understands entire structures of all living and artificial beings, and absorbs them. It wanders the earth in search of strong souls. It is also worshipped by ancient Aztecs as the "God of Fighting".

Ogre is the Aztec God of Fighting infused with mythical powers. It is able to do some form of telekinesis, mainly in grabbing enemies, and defy gravity by levitating, though it is unable to do the latter during gameplay. The most notable power of Ogre, however, is its ability to absorb souls, which would transfer all of the consumed souls' abilities and potentially increase its power.

Ogre (2008 film)

Ogre is a 2008 American television horror film directed by Steven R. Monroe. In the story, a town is struck by a terrible plague. The only means of preventing the plague seems to be to sacrifice one person every year to a vicious beast known as the Ogre.

In the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game, ogres are a lesser race of giants. An aquatic subrace of ogres is known as "merrow". D&D ogres are also closely related to the race of ogre magi, a more intelligent race with blue skin and great magical abilities. Typically Ogres stand between nine and ten feet tall and can weigh up to 650 lbs. Ogres are closely related to trolls, and are distantly related to the various races of giants.

Dungeons & Dragons (1974–1976)

The ogre was one of the first monsters introduced in the earliest edition of the game, in the Dungeons & Dragons "white box" set (1974). They are described simply as large and fearsome monsters.

Ogre variants appeared in Supplement IV: Gods, Demi-Gods & Heroes (1976).

Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 1st edition (1977–1988)

The ogre appears in the first edition Monster Manual (1977), where they are described as ugly-tempered and voracious creatures sometimes found as mercenaries.
