This is a completely new build we did for a woman whose house was in such poor condition it left us with little other options but to deconstruct her old house and rebuild her a brand new one. The project took us 7 days of carpentry work, with 4 days of foundation digging and pouring prior to the footage shown here for a total of 11 days of work after the old house was fully deconstructed.

I have been to this old farm house many years ago with my old exploring companion WIngManJan, but the footage was really poor. So during one of my road trips I decided to return. On this wonderful cold morning, just at dawn II found this old farm house standing a strong as it was when I first explored. Other than the our buildings being destroyed, the main structure had not changed much. This multi level house with beautiful peaked exterior is wonderfully designed, and while I could not find any history I would guess its from the 1930s or so. Its a house which would have nicely accommodated a large family. A couple of my favorite feature were the meaty wood banister going upstairs and the solid wood door baseboards and window and door casings.
What I do know is the last people to live here were in the window and door business, or they rented an outbuilding to someone who was, as on my first visit one of the outbuildings was full of new and used doors and windows and a work shop.
This house like many others was a victim of the 407 Hwy expansion. Likely bought by the government and the family made to vacate. So Sad. I loved exploring this house and I feel it had a lot to offer.

I have been to this old farm house many years ago with my old exploring companion WIngManJan, but the footage was really poor. So during one of my road trips I decided to return. On this wonderful cold morning, just at dawn II found this old farm house standing a strong as it was when I first explored. Other than the our buildings being destroyed, the main structure had not changed much. This multi level house with beautiful peaked exterior is wonderfully designed, and while I could not find any history I would guess its from the 1930s or so. Its a house which would have nicely accommodated a large family. A couple of my favorite feature were the meaty wood banister going upstairs and the solid wood door baseboards and window and door casings. What I do know is the last people to live here were in the window and door business, or they rented an outbuilding to someone who was, as on my first visit one of the outbuildings was full of new and used doors and windows and a work shop. This house like many others was a victim of the 407 Hwy expansion. Likely bought by the government and the family made to vacate. So Sad. Building a House is Easy
This is a completely new build we did for a woman whose house was in such poor condition it left us with little other options but to deconstruct her old house and rebuild her a brand new one. The project took us 7 days of carpentry work, with 4 days of foundation digging and pouring prior to the footage shown here for a total of 11 days of work after the old house was fully deconstructed. I have been to this old farm house many years ago with my old exploring companion WIngManJan, but the footage was really poor. So during one of my road trips I decided to return. On this wonderful cold morning, just at dawn II found this old farm house standing a strong as it was when I first explored. Other than the our buildings being destroyed, the main structure had not changed much. This multi level house with beautiful peaked exterior is wonderfully designed, and while I could not find any history I would guess its from the 1930s or so. Its a house which would have nicely accommodated a large family. A couple of my favorite feature were the meaty wood banister going upstairs and the solid wood door baseboards and window and door casings.
What I do know is the last people to live here were in the window and door business, or they rented an outbuilding to someone who was, as on my first visit one of the outbuildings was full of new and used doors and windows and a work shop.
This house like many others was a victim of the 407 Hwy expansion. Likely bought by the government and the family made to vacate. So Sad. I loved exploring this house and I feel it had a lot to offer.

McGill University is one of the most prestigious universities in all of Canada. Poutine, a French Canadian dish, it is basically french fries with gravy and cheese curds on top. For a taste of French charm, wander down the cobbled streets of Old Montreal. Tonight we're at the Cirque du Soleil for a circus performance. The biodome is a popular attraction for families with children. Olympic Stadium is the former home of the Montreal Expos. The botanical gardens are home to beautiful gardens. Bell Center is home to the Montreal Canadiens, one of the most celebrated NHL franchises. There is no better place ot eat smoked meat in Montreal than Schwartz. The Notre Dame Basilica is located in the historic district of Old Montreal. If you enjoy checking out graffiti around Saint Catherine street which is also a shopping district. House Construction Documentary
This project took me all summer. The house was just being started as school let out, and the house finished up literally on the very last days before school started. I live about a half mile away (and about 200 feet lower) than this house, and I rode my bike up multiple times a day with my camera and tripod to get this footage. I went out of my way to make sure I got as much footage as possible. There were several things, like carpet, hardwood floors, driveway, grass, etc that I had to miss unfortunately, but the video still turned out awesome. This is just a small portion of all the footage. Special thanks to everyone who let me film them, I had a blast. There are some really awesome people in this video. I also thank the people at the McNaughton Homes office for giving me permiss...

Exploring an Abandoned Dream Mansion - Ontario Canada
I have been to this location 3 times, once in May of 2013 and not a access point could be found, again in April of 2014 and I was very lucky to find an open door. I made a choice to return in June of 2014 just to see how things changed. This video is a combination of 2 visits. You can see the changes that happened in the short time between visits. Such a huge house, with features I have not seen in any regular house. A dance studio, grand staircase and my favorite was the elevator. It appears the house either had some salvaging done or looters took advantage of the imminent demise of this house. And I guess as long as it doesn't end in the trash, I don’t care either way. 4K House Fire Foster Ave. Coquitlam, B.C. Canada 07/04/2016 4K Video
Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada April 07 2016 Coquitlam Fire Department responded to 805 Foster Ave for a residential structure fire. When crews arrived, their was smoke and flames coming from the basement in the back of the house. The resident told me me he saw smoke coming from the floor vents. He then went to the basement, and realized his house was on fire. He called 911 and left the house. He also told me that their is a small workshop in his basement. This project took me all summer. The house was just being started as school let out, and the house finished up literally on the very last days before school started. Sadly not a lot of artifacts around for insight into who they people were who owner this places, but judging by all the affluence of this house..they had lots of $$$
Oddly I could not find a lot of info on the owners of this house, but what is very obvious is that it was in the way of “progress”. This house, at some point was someones dream home, and it wasn't that long ago. During the explores you can hear the tractors all around while I walk the outside of the house As of last week, it has been demolished.

So I have learned that there are MANY conspiracy theorists who like to come up with many reasons why this house is being reno'd and not being demolished. HEre are links to several sites confirming the demo and government ownership. The house is gone, will never stand again. It is now a section of the 407 ETR Toll Highway that crosses the top of Durham Region.

The property is at 6225 Coronation Rd and was owned by Salah Abdelati. It was approximately 4.8 hectares. The Ministry of Transportation initially expropriated approximately 1 hectare of the 4.8 for works associated with the eastern expansion of Highway 407. The parties agreed subsequently that a full buyout was appropriate and they entered into a property purchase agreement pursuant to s. 30 of the Expropriations Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. E. 26 Abdelati subsequently commenced a claim seeking compensation for market value of the subject lands, among other matters, and equivalent reinstatement. Equivalent reinstatement means equivalent accommodation. Section 15 of the Act, which deals with equivalent accommodation states:
Upon application therefor, the Board shall, by order, after fixing the market value of lands used for residential purposes of the owner under subsection 14(1), award such additional amount of compensation as, in the opinion of the Board, is necessary to enable the owner to relocate his or her residence in accommodation that is at least equivalent to the accommodation expropriated. R.S.O. 1990, c.E.26, s.15.
That's going to be one hell of a house they have to put him in until he can find another "Dream Home".

Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada April 07 2016
Coquitlam Fire Department responded to 805 Foster Ave for a residential structure fire. When crews arrived, their was smoke and flames coming from the basement in the back of the house. The resident told me me he saw smoke coming from the floor vents. He then went to the basement, and realized his house was on fire. He called 911 and left the house. He also told me that their is a small workshop in his basement. All the residents were able to get out safely. Fire crews were able to knock the fire down quickly.
