The United States, Canada and other countries also recognize common law trademark rights, which means action can be taken to protect an unregistered trademark if it is in use. Still common law trademarks offer the holder in general less legal protection than registered trademarks.

Ken Block
Kenneth "Ken" Block (born November 21, 1967) is a professional rally driver with the Hoonigan Racing Division, formerly known as the Monster World Rally Team. Block is also one of the co-founders of DC Shoes. Block has also competed in many action sports events including skateboarding, snowboarding, and motocross. Since selling his ownership of DC Shoes, Block has shifted his business focus to Hoonigan Industries, an apparel brand for auto enthusiasts. He is currently the co-owner and Head Hoonigan In Charge (HHIC) at the company.
Rallying
2005
In 2005, Block began his National rallying career with the Vermont SportsCar team. Vermont SportsCar prepared a 2005 Subaru WRX STi for Block to compete. His first event of the rallying season was Sno*Drift, where he ended up finishing seventh overall and fifth in the Group N class. During the 2005 season, Block had five top five finishes and placed third overall in the Group A class and fourth overall in the Rally America National Championship. At the end of his first rallying year, Ken Block had won the Rally America Rookie of the Year award.

Martin Lawrence appeared on Good Day Atlanta Thursday morning, the day after his former "Martin" co-star passed away.

Martin Lawrence appeared on Good Day Atlanta Thursday morning, the day after his former "Martin" co-star passed away.
“I can’t say enough about him, he is truly going to be missed,” Said Lawrence.
He went on to say, “We were friends before the Martin Show and we got to bring that friendship on camera.”
Actor Tommy Ford, 52, died Wednesday at an Atlanta-area hospital, according to friends close to the actor.
Ford is known for his role as Tommy Strawn, Martin Lawrence's best friend, on the 90’s sitcom hit “Martin". He also appeared in TV shows including "New York Undercover," "The Parkers" and "Who's Got Jokes."
According to a report from TMZ, Ford suffered an aneurysm in his abdomen several days before his death. He was first hospitalized Sunday, and later was placed on life support as his condition worsened. TMZ reports that Ford's family decided Wednesday afternoon to remove him from life support.
