Break out the Arrowroots! Lock up your great-grannies! Wollongong media mogul, Bruce "Jedd Clampett" Gordon is making a beeline for our shores for one of his semi-regular trips to survey his crumbling-at-the-edges media empire.

The Old Media dog is said to be preparing to jet back to the homeland from his tax haven, we mean, current abode in Bermuda in plenty of time for the Network Ten AGM on December 8.

The 87-year-old billionaire, and major shareholder in both the Ten and Nine Networks, loves an AGM almost as much as he loves investing in challenged business models (say the columnists whose own company saw its share price dip after its AGM in Melbourne Thursday … but we digress).

More than that, according to our spies, he loves nothing more than making his major-shareholding presence felt by asking the requisite curly question or four  – which are all duly indulged. Indulged being the operative word.

Let's hope he packs his ear trumpet.
