A member state is a state that is a member of an international organization or of a federation or confederation.
The World Trade Organization (WTO) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) include some members that are not sovereign states; thus, neither organization ever speaks of "members states"; the WTO has simply "members" WTO members, whereas the IMF calls its members "member countries".

On 27th of October, the so-called "Special Rapporteur" on Eritrea, presented her report to the Third Committee. In what was marked by controversy, the "Special Rapporteur" was also given the platform to report on the terminated Commission of Inquiry on Eritrea, all in an effort to demonize, vilify Eritrea and in the desperate hope of convincing UN member states to agree, with the her widely discredited propaganda & lies filled reports. But things did not go her way, and the way her sponsors had hoped for, it went the complete opposite way. The overwhelming majority of UN member states, that spoke, rejected the "Special Rapporteur".

The UK has voted to leave the EU, and it's a major blow to the European Union system. The UK is not the only country that has had a problem with the European Union. Denmark and Sweden are EU member countries but like the UK, they refused to adopt the Euro. Switzerland is not part of the European Union and has kept its access to the Union's single market. The European Union has seen increasing political and economic integration among member states since its official establishment in 1993, after the Maastricht Treaty came into force. But tough problems remained unresolved. Having climbed up the ranks from being a City Council member to now a United States Congresswoman, see how we helped Norma Torres win her 1st Campaign for City Council of Pomona in 2001. Web Video Vision helped produce this video campaign along with Norma. Creating a 30 second commercial for her that ran on Television in her District. We chose the locations that would be used as backdrops for her message. For example, one of her campaign issues was to bring Business back to her District. So we filmed abandoned buildings as backdrops to highlight her message. Everything was shot in 1 day and editing completed within a week allowing her to immediately hit the campaign trail with TV exposure. The campaign was not a walk in a park as she won by just a narrow margin. She was able to beat the ...

Get your free audiobook or ebook: http://yazz.space/sabk/35/en/B01LYLI2BV/info This book investigates the crucial Eu policy of competition, which is enforced by the Commission and by national agencies that enjoy various degrees of autonomy from their governments. More and more policy-making activities are nowadays delegated to agencies that cannot be held accountable to parliaments, and ultimately to voters. The author explains why this is the case in the field of Eu competition policy and discusses whether independence is linked to improved enforcement as theories of delegation and common wisdom would suggest. These questions are explored with an in-depth analysis covering 27 Eu countries for 17 years (19932009). While the results show that independence is given when countries lack credi...

budget line which can be reduced in times of economic crisis and recession, and I think this is ultimately wrong. We will also hurt our own societies if we do not help poor countries to grow and develop and create dignity for all. So that is the background of the question of the Development Committee: that there have been concerns, at this time, which certainly is economically difficult, that the European Union would shy away from its commitments and that it would not stick to the 0.7 % target with a timeline. The problem clearly is that this would be looked at in a very negative way in the international conferences that Mrs McAvan, our Chair, has explained. For that aid, our ODA commitment, to be conditional on the contributions of other players in the world would send out a wrong signal...
k félre ebben a Parlamentben Európa lakosságát!

The UN peacekeeping forces have been under attack after a leading UK children's charity said it had uncovered evidence of widespread sexual abuse of children at the hands of UN peacekeepers. What are the positive effects that the UN has? And why does it mostly deal with peacekeeping in post-conflict situations rather then in preventing them?
