A series of troughs are generating very warm winds and potentially severe thunderstorms in parts of the NT, QLD and NSW. A trough in the west is generating gusty winds, a the odd storm in southeastern WA. A high is keeping much of SA, TAS and VIC dry with gentle winds. More Synoptic information
Cloud over NSW in an active trough is generating potentially severe thunderstorms, mainly inland which are weakening as the reach the coast. Cloud over the south coast is only bringing a few light showers. Skies are relatively clear and it is generally dry in the far west.
