A cold front will cross the southeast, bringing coastal showers to VIC and TAS. A series of low pressure troughs in the tropics will bring showers and thunderstorms to eastern parts of QLD, NT's Top End and central WA. High pressure will keep elsewhere mostly dry and settled. More Synoptic information
Cloud over southrn VIC is clearing as a ridge of high pressure moves in. Skies are generally clear elsewhere in dry winds. These clear skies are allowing it to cool down fairly quickly as the sun goes down, leading to a cool night in most areas.
