Ka toro haere tēnei whakaaturanga i ētahi o ngā tātai kōrero mō Te Tiriti o Waitangi me nga āhuatanga o ngā whakataunga Tiriti ki Tāmaki Makaurau nei. This display explores some of the history surrounding the Treaty of Waitangi and Treaty settlement process here in Auckland.

Nai Yau Vakaviti: Na Ka Mareqeti

Treasures from Fiji are the second collection group to be explored, which includes over 1500 objects. 'Nai Yau Vakaviti: Na Ka Mareqeti' is the name the Fijian community has gifted to the project.

Te Rangiataahua Kiniwe Royal

Te Rangiataahua Kiniwe Royal (Ngāti Ruakawa, Ngāti Tamaterā) fought in both the First and Second World Wars. He was Major in command of the 28th Māori Battalion's B Company when he was injured near Gazala in Libya.

Wiremu Paora

Lance Corporal Wiremu Paora (Ngāti Whātua) served in the First World War as part of the Pioneer Māori Battalion. He was injured in the battle of the Somme.
