A small selection of clips from Westminster, including Downing St, Parliament Square, the Palace of Westminster, and Westminster Abbey.
Shot over the summer holidays and involving a cast of some 50 volunteer students and staff, the film sets out to show college life from a student perspective -- and challenge a few preconceptions along the way. The film highlights the breadth of courses at all levels -- including full-time and part-time university level options and professional apprenticeships -- as well as showcasing City of Westminster College's superb leisure and recreation spaces and dynamic and sociable atmosphere.
Shot as a walk around campus, it features scenes from a typical College day, including a shoot in the photography studios, experiments in the science labs and tutorials in the motor vehicle and engineering workshops. It also shows 'down time' on the basketball court, in the fitness centre, at a student gig and in meeting and recreation spaces.
The four-minute film was produced and directed by leading digital media agency Clearhead, and the majority of filming took place at the College's RIBA Award-winning Paddington Green Campus. Many of the student volunteers were BTEC Level 3 Performing Arts students, who gained valuable industry experience by participating in the project.
Clearhead director Gavin O'Brien says: "Paddington Green Campus provided the perfect backdrop and allowed us to use some impressive kit to truly show it off -- including a 35 foot camera crane and over £150,000 worth of equipment. The College trusted us from the start to deliver on our promise of producing something the education sector hasn't necessarily seen before. We couldn't have created it without the faith they placed in us. When you say you are going to turn a promo into something of a feature film, then it takes a special team to let you run with it!"
City of Westminster College e-Marketing Manager Charlie Penrose, who project managed the film, says: "Clearhead pitched an artistic vision we knew we could trust from the outset -- they were clear that they had no intention of producing 'just another college film', which was precisely what we wanted to hear."

City of Westminster
The City of Westminster (
i/ˈwɛstmɪnstər/) is an Inner London borough which occupies much of the central area of Greater London including most of the West End. It is to the west of and adjoining the ancient City of London, directly to the east of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, and its southern boundary is the River Thames. It was created with the 1965 establishment of Greater London. Upon creation, Westminster was awarded city status, which had been previously held by the smaller Metropolitan Borough of Westminster.
Aside from a number of large parks and open spaces, the population density of the district is high. Many sites commonly associated with London are in the borough, including St. James's Palace, Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, and 10 Downing Street. The borough is divided into a number of localities including the ancient political district of Westminster around the Palace of Westminster; the shopping areas around Oxford Street, Regent Street, Piccadilly and Bond Street; and the night time entertainment district of Soho. Much of the borough is residential, and in 2008 it was estimated to have a population of 236,000. The local authority is Westminster City Council.

Westminster (/ˈwɛsᵗmɪnstər/) is an area of central London within the City of Westminster on the north bank of the River Thames. Westminster's concentration of visitor attractions and historic landmarks, one of the highest in London, includes the Palace of Westminster, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey and Westminster Cathedral.
Historically the area lay within St Margaret's parish, City & Liberty of Westminster, Middlesex.
The name Westminster originated from the informal description of the abbey church and royal peculiar of St Peter's (Westminster Abbey), literally West of the City of London, indeed until the Reformation there was a reference to the 'East Minster' at Minories (Holy Trinity Priory, Aldgate) east of the City; the abbey was part of the royal palace that had been created here by Edward the Confessor. It has been the home of the permanent institutions of England's government continuously since about 1200 (High Middle Ages' Plantagenet times) and is now the seat of British government.

City of Westminster College
City of Westminster College is a further education college located in the borough of Westminster, central London. The College has two centres located in Paddington and Queen's Park. It also includes the Cockpit Theatre, a fully operational studio theatre used for training and performances, and a range of outreach centres.
City of Westminster College provides around 250 full-time and part-time courses to over 7,000 students each year. Just over a fifth of students come from the local borough, with the remainder being drawn from across London and the south-east. Over 40 per cent of students speak English as an additional language and there are more than 50 first languages spoken across College campuses.
The Principal Keith Cowell - previously Deputy Principal of Croydon College - joined City of Westminster College in November 2009. Alex Fyfe is Vice Chair of Governors.
In its most recent inspection, Ofsted rated the college as 'good' for overall effectiveness.

So Hello from London! Time for a new destination. This is a city that I haven't visited in almost 4 years. So we're both very excited to be in London. And we're going to be making a little video guide. Actually a really big video guide because we plan on showing you 50 different things to do around London.
Our first stop was Trafalgar Square. This square leads to a lot of central attractions, so it's a nice place to people watch, get your bearings, and plan out where you want to go in the city.
The London Eye is a giant Ferris wheel on the South Bank of the Thames. It offers a bird's eye view of the city.
Buckingham Palace has served as the official London residence for Britain's sovereigns since 1837. The State Rooms at Buckingham Palace are open to visitors every year.
The Palace of Westminster, also known as the Houses of Parliament, is the meeting place of the House of Commons and the House of Lords. The Palace along with Big Ben are two of the top London attractions that dot the city-scape.
The Tower of London sits on the north bank of the River Thames.
And that's a wrap for London! Like with any mega city, it's impossible to cover all the sights and attractions you can enjoy here, but hopefully this video will give you an idea of what London has to offer.

Big Ben is the nickname for the Great Bell of the clock at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London,[1] and often extended to refer to the clock and the clock tower.[2]
The tower is officially known as the Elizabeth Tower, renamed as such to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Elizabeth II (prior to being renamed in 2012 it was known as simply "Clock Tower"). The tower holds the second largest four-faced chiming clock in the world (Minneapolis City Hall being the first).[3] The tower was completed in 1858 and had its 150th anniversary on 31 May 2009,[4] during which celebratory events took place.[5][6] The tower has become one of the most prominent symbols of the United Kingdom and is often in the establishing shot of films set in London. Story:
In 1868, at the tail end of the Industrial Revolution, with the Assassin Brotherhood all but eradicated, twins Jacob (Paul Amos) and Evie Frye (Victoria Atkin) leave Crawley for London and arrive to find a city controlled by the Templars, with both the Church and the Monarchy losing their power. Raised as Assassins to follow the Creed, Jacob and Evie aim to take back the city from Templar control by infiltrating and uniting London's criminal underworld, aided by notable figures of the era such as novelist Charles Dickens, biologist Charles Darwin and inventor Alexander Graham Bell, foundational philospher of modern nursing, Florence Nightingale and Queen Victoria.
Gameplay:
Assassin's Creed Syndicate marks the first time in the series where the player can freely switch between two different protagonists. It will also be the first main entry in the series to feature a playable female protagonist. (Assassin's Creed III: Liberation featured a female protagonist, but that game is not a part of the main series. Male lead Jacob Frye is meant to be more of a hot-headed brawler, specialized in close combat, while his twin sister Evie is strong in stealth and relies on her intelligence and wit. The Assassins' main weapons this time around include brass knuckles, a compact revolver, a cane sword and the traditional Nepalese curved kukri knife and combat is faster-paced than before with latency having been cut in half and multiple enemies attacking the player at once. Additionally new travelling systems make their debut in the game, such as a rope launcher which allows the player to rappel up structures as well as create a zip-line between buildings, and carriages, which can all be piloted or simply occupied by the player, and trains. The rooftops of moving carriages can also be the setting of fights and parkour chases. London in the game will be approximately 30% larger than Paris in Unity and consist of six boroughs: Westminster, the Strand, the City of London, Whitechapel, Southwark and Lambeth. The game will have no multiplayer mode, and will not feature a companion app, which was introduced in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. Side missions in the game have been designed to reflect the fight for power in London and are cohesive to the main story of the game. Players can also kidnap enemies for ransom then put them inside horse carriages and take them to a drop-off point.
