The Roman circus (from Latin, "circle") was a large open-air venue used for public events in the ancient Roman Empire. The circuses were similar to the ancient Greek hippodromes, although circuses served varying purposes and differed in design and construction. Along with theatres and amphitheatres, Circuses were one of the main entertainment sites of the time. Circuses were venues for chariot races, horse races, and performances that commemorated important events of the empire were performed there. For events that involved re-enactments of naval battles, the circus was flooded with water.
According to Edward Gibbon, in Chapter XXXI of his work The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, the Roman people, at the start of the 5th century:
The performance space of the Roman circus was normally, despite its name, an oblong rectangle of two linear sections of race track, separated by a median strip running along the length of about two thirds the track, joined at one end with a semicircular section and at the other end with an undivided section of track closed (in most cases) by a distinctive starting gate known as the carceres, thereby creating a circuit for the races. The Circus of Maxentius epitomises the design.

Show's Just Begun is MC Mong's fourth album, which was released 17 months after his third album, The Way I Am, on April 17, 2008. MC Mong took part in composing, writing, arranging, and producing all tracks on this album. The first title track off this album was "Circus", followed by "Feel Crazy". As the title of his fourth album suggests, the concept for this album revolves around a circus theme.
Like his previous albums, this album features a variety of artists including female artists such as Korean American R&B singer Lena Park, MayBee, and R&B group Big Mama.
It also features rapper $howgun (a.k.a. Park Jang Geun), comedian Noh Hong-cheol, rapper and MC Defconn, comedian and good-friend Haha, and many others.
Three music videos were released for this album. The first being "서커스Circus", then "죽도록사랑해 (Love You Even When I Die)" and "미치겠어 (Feel Crazy)".
The music video for "서커스" ("Circus") features rapper Park Jang Geun and two young boys who performed with MC Mong during most of his performances for "서커스" ("Circus").
Sūrat Ṣād (Arabic: سورة ص, "The Letter Sad") is the 38th sura of the Qur'an with 88 ayat and 1 sajdah (39:24). Sad (ص) is the name of the eighteenth letter in the Arabic alphabet.
Saad was sent to Muhammad by God while he was coping with rejection from his tribe, the Quraysh, and struggling to keep his own faith. It recounts stories of previous prophets, describes the splendors of heaven, and warns of the monstrosities of hell. The sura dates to the 2nd Meccan Period, meaning it was revealed only five or six years into the development of Islam.
Sura 38 substantiates Muhammad's role as Prophet through concrete examples of previous messengers of God and the evils that have befallen the people who did not heed sacred messages. Angelika Neurwirth terms these “retribution legends” (McAuliffe, 105). They “prove that divine justice is at work in history, the unjustly harassed being rewarded with salvation, the transgressors and unbelievers punished by annihilation” (McAuliffe, 106). Through regular reference to biblical characters and a self-assertive tone praising both Muhammad and God, the reader can attribute this sura to the 2nd Meccan Period, according to Noldeke’s chronology . The coherent text builds up to descriptions of both heaven and hell on the Day of Judgment. The wide scope of historical figures—ranging from Old Testament characters such as David, Solomon, and Job, to the devil of Islam, Iblis—were designed to resonate with a wide audience in the face of the disbelief among the Quaryash, Muhammad’s clan; as Ernst poignantly states, Muhammad was likely dealing with “religiously well-informed skeptics” . Like many contemporary passages, Sura 38 attempts to convert the reader to a monotheistic religion honoring Muhammad as Prophet by promising salvation for true believers on the Day of Judgment.
"Sad" is the ninth track from American band Maroon 5's fourth studio album Overexposed (2012). It was written by Adam Levine and James Valentine; they produced the song together with Noah "Mailbox" Passovoy. Valentine started composing the song on his home piano, before introducing the melody to Levine, who wrote the lyrics and called the song his most personal track on the album. "Sad" is a piano ballad that is similar to the works by British singer-songwriter Adele. It received generally mixed reviews from music critics; some of them called it a standout track on Overexposed, however, others criticized Levine's voice on the song. Following the release of the album, due to strong digital downloads, the song peaked at number 12 on the singles chart in South Korea.
It was kinda cool and like the chords to the verse and I just sang that melody. I sang that melody and there weren't any words; it was just kind of a melody. I recorded it on my phone and didn't even think about it.
Ṣade (also spelled Ṣādē, Tsade, Ṣaddi, Ṣad, Tzadi, Sadhe, Tzaddik) is the eighteenth letter of the Semitic abjads, including Phoenician Çādē , Hebrew ˈṢādi צ, Aramaic Ṣādhē
, Syriac Ṣāḏē ܨ, and Arabic Ṣād ص. Its oldest sound value is probably /sˤ/, although there is a variety of pronunciation in different modern Semitic languages and their dialects. It represents the coalescence of three Proto-Semitic "emphatic consonants" in Canaanite. Arabic, which kept the phonemes separate, introduced variants of ṣād and ṭāʾ to express the three (see ḍād, ẓāʾ). In Aramaic, these emphatic consonants coalesced instead with ʿayin and ṭēt, respectively, thus Hebrew ereẓ ארץ (earth) is araʿ ארע in Aramaic.
The Phoenician letter is continued in the Greek San (Ϻ) and possibly Sampi (Ϡ), and in Etruscan 𐌑 Ś. It may have inspired the form of the letter Tse in the Glagolitic and Cyrillic alphabet.
The corresponding letter of the Ugaritic alphabet is 𐎕 ṣade.
The letter is known as "tsadik" in Yiddish, and Hebrew speakers often give it that name as well. This name for the letter probably originated from a fast recitation of the alphabet (i.e., "tsadi, qoph" -> "tsadiq, qoph"), influenced by the Hebrew word tzadik, meaning 'righteous person'.
[Intro]
Ladies and gentlemen
Hurry hurry hurry
Step right up and witness the sad circus
Come one, come all, to the sad circus
Step right up and see the lonely poor bastard
Witness the man with no hope
Stories guaranteed to be tear jerkers
Now without further ado the sad circus
[Verse 1: Tech N9ne]
I had so many plans, cause I got plenty fans
I thought that I was never gonna be alone to spend
these grands
But it seems that every girl that I dated somehow hated
the way I loved
And I made it with so many, now the ones that with it,
its not any; they all ran
I thought that I was gonna be Hugh Hef, 6 women to go
2-step but not one of my crews left
Kids are growing up and they got lives now nobody arise
now
Used to be married but narcissism let my bride down
I used to be a playa, I used to be afraid of bein'
alone
But they all eventually said "I'll see ya lata'"; much
lata'
Sittin' in this plush lair must say I'm stuck in a rut
I guess not enough prayer
Cause ain't nobody came back, I bust the same raps
But ain't no dame pack wish I could change that
They say that I'm extra I'm messed up and I murk the
deals
That I have with them in the past and I miss 'em and it
hurts for real
[Hook: Courtney Kuhnz]
See the man with the broken heart (He's just right over
there)
All alone he stands so lonely in this world so cold
He's been hopeless from the start (He feels like no one
cares)
All alone he'll die so lonely saddest story ever told
[Verse 2: Brotha Lynch Hung]
Sooner or later rumors will tear me up in pieces
And he's just bad luck everywhere I go I'm sick of this
steepness
More money more problems, no money problems gettin'
worse
He don't have to get bloody but he didn't have to get
hurt
Fuck I'm so tired of all this cryin' it don't work
Its affectin' my work, not even carin' about my worth
Thin line between love and raps, Strange got the fans
comin' back
Bad plus bad run in packs, startin' to think is a curse
I can't you do it without you nigga'
Can't be done without me nigga'
Well, yes it can, wait, please don't do it without me
nigga'
Strange move on without these lyrics, makin' it to
where these fans can hear it
I'mma have to get done I'm near it, Brotha Lynch Hung
you can't be serious
I'm starin' at these pills, in the back of the
Cadillac, and matta' fact
I got it I grip my steel, I'm always on this suicide
thinkin' that's how I feel
I figure if I get rid of these pills nobody would care
if I'm killed
My label's on the road, me just sittin' at home, see
Spittin' that chrome, me gettin' that gold
We get that call and then we run in they house, gun up
in they mouth
Just know this Madesicc Strange, that's what I'm
talkin' 'bout
[Hook]
See the man with the broken heart (He's just right over
there)
All alone he stands so lonely in this world so cold
He's been hopeless from the start (He feels like no one
cares)
All alone he'll die so lonely saddest story ever told
Saddest story ever told
Saddest story ever told
[Outro]
Thank you for coming to the sad circus
Come again or not
I'm falling I'm crawling
I'm yellin' but no one can hear me calling
I'm cryin' profusely
Sometimes I wish somebody would just come and noose me
