Plot: Runaways is Steve Moore's story. He's sixteen and lives with his younger sister, mother Cheryl and her boyfriend John, in a modest house in Bakersfield, California. An abusive and often intoxicated man, John rules the household, and though his attacks on Steve result in emergency hospital visits, Cheryl's loyalty is to her boyfriend. To protect her relationship with John, she "ditches" her son, having him arrested and locked in a correctional "mental" facility, before coercing her older brother Burt, who lives in Hollywood, to take him. Steve quickly discovers that Burt cannot even provide temporary lodging, but an administrator at his new high school directs him to a shelter for runaway kids where he soon learns to navigate his way. At the shelter which offers only a two to three month respite from the streets, counselor Tony Perez tries to provide guidance to Steve and his roommates Mike and Andy. While encouraging them to try to reconcile with their parents, he insists that they take charge of their own lives and believe that a better life is possible. Angry and confused teen runaways come and go at the shelter, as Steve learns he is not alone in his predicament and that the streets offer a harsh reality. Postponing his desire to play basketball on the school team, Steve finds an after-school job to support himself and pursues a relationship with the affluent but unhappy Sally. Andy spirals down into crack addiction and becomes a homeless prostitute and Mike gains stability in his life once he moves in with his loving and supportive aunt. Mike's aunt soon opens her home to Steve as well, and the two celebrate their good fortune at having the opportunity to get their lives on track.

My review of the underrated sci-f flick, Runaway(1984) starring Tom Selleck, Gene Simmons, Cynthia Rhodes, Kristie Alley, Stan Shaw, G.W. Bailey, Chris Mulkey, and Joey Cramer. Directed by Michael Crichton. Trivia Tom Selleck's character's name "Ramsay" is said approximately 52 times in the movie; a little more than once every two minutes. The pistol used by Ramsay is a custom-built Detonics 1911 9mm with the muzzle belled to look like a .45. Gene Simmons, in his book "Sex Money Kiss", said that director Michael Crichton's casting of him was based primarily on this: Crichton asked Simmons to stare at him for about a minute without making any facial expressions. Apparently, Crichton decided on this that Simmons looked menacing enough and cast him for the role of Charlie Luther. Many ...

He pretends to be the alibi of a beautiful woman who was arrested for murder at first thinking her innocent, but as she shows more and more interesting abilities (such as knife throwing) he begins to doubt his first assessment. He is still falling for her, but more and more nervous as time passes, and there are more close calls with death on his part.

Q&A; with Tom Selleck of BLUE BLOODS. Moderated by Matt Roush, TV Guide Magazine. BLUE BLOODS is a drama about a multigenerational family of cops dedicated to New York City law enforcement. Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) is the New York Police Commissioner and heads both the police force and the Reagan brood. He runs his department as diplomatically as he runs his family, even when dealing with the politics that plagued his unapologetically bold father, Henry, during his stint as Chief. Tom Selleck's versatility in both television and film has won the attention of audiences and critics worldwide. He is perhaps best known for his portrayal of ‘Tom Magnum’ in the '80s CBS television hit, Magnum, P.I., which garnered him both an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Drama Ser...

Tom Selleck stops by to talk his show 'Blue Bloods' (and Whoopi's cameo!), those pesky divorce rumors, and that unforgettable serenade from "Three Men and a Baby."
May 19, 1999, daytime TV talk show host Rosie O'Donnell ambushed guest Tom Selleck for his support of the NRA and demanded that he justify the freedom to buy assault weapons. It seems he had only intended to plug a movie, but, of course, he commanded the "debate" with reason and logic. As opposed to Rosie's irrational, emotionally driven tirade.

There's been a lot of talk of a Magnum, P.I. remake, but what does the original Thomas Magnum have to say about it?
Gone away and hide your eyes
Stay for me with no disguise
We should fall, still we can rise
Lay it down, your heart, tonight
Try to imagine your soul set free
Let it go and run to me
You've got my heart, now take my life
Lay it down, my love
Chorus
Runaway, runaway, runaway to me
Runaway, darlin' won't you stay with me
Runaway, runaway, runaway to me
Now I will back you up
You can hear the time slippin' away
You cry the tears for today
She screams come inside, but you can't stay
Lay it down, my love
Runaway, runaway, runaway to me
Runaway, darlin' won't you stay with me
Now I will back you up
Hey, I will back you up
Hey, I will back you up
Everyone's around us now
But still we only hear one sound
It's so intense, you just can't breathe
Lay it down, my love...
