Catch the hard core Smoking - Chugging action by various Indian Railway Shed ALCO's in this compilation. ( P.S NOTE , Not all IR Sheds are captured )
The Loco classes captured in the Video are WDM-2 , WDM-3A , WDM-3D & WDG-3A.
ALCO's any day are a treat to watch for a Rail fan's eye, starting from a cranking to a notching to a chugging to a acceleration the mechanism of a ALCo just ROCKS.
So here comes a massive treat to the ALCo buffs out there !

We're in a tugboat. I can't say which one. However, I can say that it's powered by a 16 cylinder ALCO 251C, which is being started for the first time in a few months, since a lot of work is being done to the boat. The first time around, we start it and let it run for a couple of minutes, just to see if there are any leaks. We then start it again, just to get the engine warm for awhile, as well as to test each cylinder to see if each one is firing properly. After about 5 minutes, we shut it down. Once this boat is fully operational again, more video's will be made. Enjoy the sound of the start-up, as well as the chug and clacking of the ALCO. If you have any questions about the video, feel free to message me. Comments are welcome. The videos were taken on October 4th, 2014.

Soldevanahalli Halt, KA.
A small compilation showing the acceleration of 3100hp ALCO WDG3A and 4500hp EMD WDG4 as they set off after a short halt at Soldevanahalli. WDG3A 13297 was in charge of the Arsikere-Bangalore Passenger and WDG4 12636 was with the Bangalore-Hubli Passenger.
The WDG4's take-off is one of the fastest train accelerations I have ever witnessed! Not exactly how an EMD locomotive is supposed to be notched up, but was fun to watch nevertheless.

The American Locomotive Company was formed in 1901 by the merger of Schenectady Locomotive Engine Manufactory of Schenectady, New York with seven smaller locomotive manufacturers.
The American Locomotive Automobile Company subsidiary designed and manufactured automobiles under the Alco brand from 1905-1913 and produced nuclear energy from 1954-1962. The company changed its name to Alco Products, Incorporated in 1955. In 1964 the Worthington Corporation acquired the company. The company became defunct in 1969.

We're in a tugboat. I can't say which one. However, I can say that it's powered by a 16 cylinder ALCO 251C, which is being started for the first time in a few months, since a lot of work is being done to the boat. The first time around, we start it and let it run for a couple of minutes, just to see if there are any leaks. We then start it again, just to get the engine warm for awhile, as well as to test each cylinder to see if each one is firing properly. After about 5 minutes, we shut it down. Once this boat is fully operational again, more video's will be made. Enjoy the sound of the start-up, as well as the chug and clacking of the ALCO. If you have any questions about the video, feel free to message me. Comments are welcome. The videos were taken on October 4th, 2014.

A small compilation showing the acceleration of 3100hp ALCO WDG3A and 4500hp EMD WDG4 as they set off after a short halt at Soldevanahalli. WDG3A 13297 was in charge of the Arsikere-Bangalore Passenger and WDG4 12636 was with the Bangalore-Hubli Passenger.
The WDG4's take-off is one of the fastest train accelerations I have ever witnessed! Not exactly how an EMD locomotive is supposed to be notched up, but was fun to watch nevertheless.
