As with any other professional you may consult, it is good to do your homework first and verify that your cabler has the appropriate training. Anyone who works on data, optical-fibre, co-axial, underground or aerial cabling needs have completed the appropriate training and be registered by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA). You can check if they are registered for data cabling by checking the registers on the websites of registrars accredited by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA).
