Police cars rammed in south-east Qld

A man who allegedly used his car as a battering ram to damage four police vehicles in a car park in Nambour in south-east Queensland has been subdued with a Taser and charged.

Police say that about 3.45pm on Sunday a 56-year-old man entered the police car park and drove into the vehicles, causing significant damage.

They say the man then got out of his car and challenged police before an officer successfully deployed his Taser and the man was taken into custody.

The man has been charged with wilful damage, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, driving under the influence and obstructing police and will appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Monday.
