The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), sometimes known as the "Big Board", is an American stock exchange located at 11 Wall Street, Lower Manhattan, New York City, New York. It is by far the world's largest stock exchange by market capitalization of its listed companies at US$19.69 trillion as of May 2015. The average daily trading value was approximately US$169 billion in 2013.
The NYSE trading floor is located at 11 Wall Street and is composed of 21 rooms used for the facilitation of trading. A fifth trading room, located at 30 Broad Street, was closed in February 2007. The main building and the 11 Wall Street building were designated National Historic Landmarks in 1978.
The NYSE is owned by Intercontinental Exchange, an American holding company it also lists (NYSE: ICE). Previously, it was part of NYSE Euronext (NYX), which was formed by the NYSE's 2007 merger with the fully electronic stock exchange Euronext. NYSE and Euronext now operate as divisions of Intercontinental Exchange.

According to decisions of high congress, high buildings have to be narrowed toward the top in order to let more light to the streets. The Walworth House erected in 1911 was built according to Cass Gilbert's plans. Fellow architect Paul Gilbert said the following about it. Its gothic design organically fed into the vertical shape of the three-storey building. It has an almost Mozart hint quality to it - a sense of light and graceful detail applied to a firm and self-assured structure. Wall Street quickly became the synonym of New York's financial district. In Dutch times,...
When you hear the words "Wall Street," that's probably the picture that comes to mind. The iconic facade of New York Stock Exchange. If Wall Street is the capital of capitalism, this is its cathedral. It's ironic that the facade that so many picture as the very representation of Wall Street isn't actually on Wall Street. It's on Broad Street. The NYSE was founded in 1792 by a group of 24 investors who used to trade outdoors, but they wanted to formalize their trades and signed the Buttonwood Agreement. They called it that because they signed it under a buttonwood tree. Welcome to the Investors Trading Academy talking glossary of financial terms and events. Our word of the day is the “NYSE” The New York Stock Exchange, often referred to as NYSE and "The Big Board," is the largest stock exchange by market capitalization in the world. Home to more than 2,800 companies with a combined value of more than $15 trillion, the NYSE relies on face-to-face trades, rather than electronic trades. The NYSE began in 1792, when 24 stockbrokers gathered under a buttonwood tree on Wall Street to sign an agreement that established the rules for buying and selling bonds and shares of companies. This agreement, or the Buttonwood Agreement, was named after the tree. The NYSE is the oldest and largest stock exchange in the U.S., located on Wall Street in New York City. The NYS...

Yo, I need an encore y'all, you should welcome me back
You wanna ball till you fall, I can help you with that
You want beef? I could let a slug melt in your hat

While you listenin' to the words that I wrote on the disc
Thelonius, my description is do-rags, pants sag down to my feet
AK is my heat, everyday in the street till I lay six feet
QB, PJs, and we playin' for keeps
Jewelry, cars and Jeeps is my motto
Four-fives with the hollows, silencers on the nozzles
Pop bottles with those who left here
The best years, wearin a bulletproof vest years
The aim for the head and chest years
What's your name? Make your name known
For the next year's, better rep, yeah

A week later, sportin' Gators, gettin' thrills
Our honies wearin' Gucci high heels

Leave streets alone for a sec
Hit the sky bar, sunset, and the sex is so high-tech
Now, lounge homeboy, you in the Godly zone
Rest in peace, Ill Will, now your name's in the throne
We gon' rep it the best that we can
Physically, you was killed by the weapons of man

We do squeeze, thought it's not right
But that's the zone that we left in
Bentleys, Porches, DRJ watches
Sick with the bread, Lamborghini trucks topless
