Each year Halloween comes along, and each year it seems that much easier to recycle last year's costumes.

But some children rise above the rest (admittedly with the help of some dedicated, comical parents) to make Halloween priceless with an amazing costume.

From mimicking TV shows, classic movies or real-life characters, these kids have taken it to the next level.

Here are some of our favourites from this year for you to enjoy.

1. No-Face from Spirited Away

When Momo, a kindergartener from Taiwan, attended a Halloween event at school she wanted to go as the lonely spirit No-Face from the Japanese cult classic film, Spirited Away.

The silent and brooding cartoon character is Momo's favourite and she managed to stay in character most of the day, her mum said.

Her costume was so creepy that she made some of the other children cry, and images of the toddler quickly went viral.

2. Cam from Modern Family

Charlie, 10 months, won everyone's hearts by dressing up as a replica of Cam from Modern Family (aka Eric Stonestreet) by donning a signature button-down shirt with turned up cuffs.

The best part is that Stonestreet himself retweeted the family's post, saying the photos were "hilarious."

"We were just trying to make people laugh," Mother, McKell Harding told ABC News

3. Glow in the dark stick person

This is a piece of DIY that is awesome as well as comfortable. The best part is that there is no way the parents will lose their child trick-or-treating because he is literally glowing with LED light.

You can find out how to make your own LED stick figure costume here, because this is way too awesome to wear for just one night of the year.

4. Dwight Schrute from The Office

Ashley Gill from Arizona won plenty of hearts by dressing her two-year old son, Lincoln, as Dwight K. Schrute, the stern salesman from the US version of The Office.

A mustard yellow button-down shirt, wire-rimmed spectacles, and beet in hand, Lincoln probably had no idea what was happening but the result was awesome.

5. A mum

This costume wins Halloween for its sheer accuracy. Complete with two baby doll toys, a vomit stain, dark circles and a tracksuit, this costume is a hilarious stereotype of an exhausted mum. The best part is that 7-year old Lainie came up with the costume herself.

Jessica Griffen, Lainie's mum told The Huffington Post that she enjoyed working with her daughter to come up with this genius DIY costume.

"Having five children at home, it gets expensive buying costumes from the store and they're so cheaply made. We like to try to come up with ideas where we can make our own," Jessica said.
