Zehn Jahre nach dem tragischen Tod seines Geliebten Jagger ist Yossi Hoffmann (Ohad Knoller) ein erfolgreicher und emsiger israelischer Kardiologe. Yossi & Jagger
Yossi & Jagger (Hebrew: יוסי וג'אגר [pronounced: Yossi VeJagger]) is a 2002 Israeli romantic drama film directed by Eytan Fox about soldiers at the Israel – Lebanon border who try to find some peace and solace from the daily routine of war.
The film has a sequel entitled Yossi (Hebrew: הסיפור של יוסי Yossi's Story) released in 2012 that picks up the story a number of years after the events in the first film.
Plot
Yossi (Ohad Knoller) commands a company of soldiers in the snow-covered mountains near Lebanon. In secrecy, he leads a passionate romantic relationship with his second-in-command officer, Lior (Yehuda Levi), who is called Jagger by everyone for his rock star-like handsomeness and his lip-syncing Mick Jagger. The pair, Yossi and Jagger, lead a loving, yet secret life together, venturing off to be alone and open with one another.
One day, a colonel (Sharon Raginiano) arrives at the base with two female soldiers, one of whom he immediately sleeps with in the bunker. The other one, Yaeli (Aya Koren, credited as Aya Steinovitz), is very interested in Jagger, while she refuses the sexual advances of Ofir (Assi Cohen), who tries to make clear to her that Jagger is not particularly interested in her.

Eytan Fox
Eytan Fox (Hebrew: איתן פוקס) (born on August 21, 1964) is an Israeli film director.
Biography
Fox was born in New York City and moved with his family to Israel when he was two. His father, Seymour Fox, was a Conservative rabbi and a leading professor of Jewish education at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His mother, Sara Kaminker-Fox, was the head of the Jerusalem city council and involved in Jerusalem urban planning. Fox has two brothers, David and Danny. He grew up in Jerusalem, served in the army, and studied at Tel Aviv University's School of Film and Television. He is openly gay and many of his films contain themes of homosexuality, as well as the effect the Israeli–Palestinian conflict has on interpersonal relationships.
Fox and his partner, Gal Uchovsky, have been together for 24 years. They are also professional collaborators, Uchovsky, a writer and journalist, is involved in much of the scriptwriting for Fox's movies.
Awards
In 2006, Fox was the first recipient of the Washington Jewish Film Festival's Decade Award, a prize given to a filmmaker whose work has made a significant contribution to Jewish cinema over a period of at least ten years.

Ohad Knoller
Ohad Knoller (Hebrew: אוהד קנולר; born 28 September 1976) is an Israeli actor.
Ohad Knoller is the son of journalist Judith Knoller. He was married until 2011 to actress Noa Raba-Knoller with whom he has a son. Knoller is most notable known for his roles in the Eytan Fox films Yossi and Jagger and The Bubble and as well in the Steven Spielberg movie Munich.
Biography
Ohad Knoller attended the Thelma Yellin high school for performing arts in Tel-Aviv. In 1990, when he was 14, he starred in his first TV role on Israeli television. At the age of 18, in 1994, he played a role in the movie Under the Domim Tree with Gila Almagor. After his military service he began to study acting at the Nissan Nativ school of acting in Tel Aviv. His theatre experience at the Jerusalem Khan Theatre included roles such as the starring role in "The Miser". He also appeared in the movie Super Boy (1998). He starred in the hit TV show Srugim as Dr. Nati Brenner from 2008-2012.

Yehuda Levi
Yehuda Levi (Hebrew: יהודה לוי; born June 29, 1979) is an Israeli actor and male model. He was born in Petah Tikva and now lives in Tel Aviv, but grew up in the city of Herzliya. He also spent much of his childhood in South Africa, from the ages of 7 to 14 (1986 - 1993). He attended the "Thelma Yellin" High school of arts, and graduated with excellence. His noticeable breakthrough was in the TV series "Lechayey Ha'ahava" (Here's To Love) (2001).
During his Israel Defense Forces service, he was a commander of the Education Corps band. He is a Karate champion, and has won 5th place in the World Karate Championships.
He is an established actor, but most of his work is done in Israeli soap operas. In May 2006, HaAlufa (The Champion), a soap opera centered on a soccer team, premiered starring Levi as the main character and captain of the team "Hakoakh Yerushalaiyim" (Jerusalem Power).
His film roles include Jagger in Yossi & Jagger. In 2006, Levi got into a relationship with Israeli singer and actress Ninet Tayeb, the first winner of the show Kokhav Nolad. In 2013, after 8 years of being together, the couple broke up, stating that the breakup was mutual.
