the legendary bang - big bluff 7'' 1990

this is no bluff!!! it's an amazing record.... four song ep! and all four of them are very good. let's see, hmmmm... they sound very close to "the brilliant corners". in fact you would probably think it's tbc if you didn't know the band!! this one is out on marsh marigold records. a little problem though, it's a bit hard to find!! good luck!

the suncharms - ep 1991

dreampop/shoegaze at its best!!! the 1st release from 'the suncharms' wide club label. their moose-sounding like tunes put their music highly ranked amongst shoegazers!! at least on my list, they are certainly up there. i also have their 2nd and last ep before disappearing on thin air that i will be posting later! in the meantime enjoy this one.

the wild swans - english electric lightning 10'' 2009

Good news! The Wild Swans have a new single out now called “English Electric Lightning.” It’s released on 10″ vinyl on the Occultation label in a limited edition of 900 individually-numbered copies. The sleeve artwork was done by keyboardist Ged Quinn and is a little, um… interesting. The current line-up includes only two original members, Paul Simpson and Ged Quinn — unfortunately no Jerry Kelly. You can preview both tracks on their site: English Electric Lightning / The Coldest Winter For A Hundred Years and order the release here. I’m loving “English Electric Lightning!”

Sorry no mp3 files here!! The reason why is we need us all to support the most underrated band that ever came out of liverpool!!! Pls. i urge you to order and buy their latest release. It almost sound like it came off of the 'bringing home the ashes' album, yes it's that good!! And if you want to them to keep on makin music you gotta support them!! Spread the gospel of the music god""
i ordered me copy today!!!! they are working on a full length album that will be out soon!!

lowlife - vain delights 12" 1986

with the remains of a psychobilly band 'dead neighbours' and a past member of the 'cocteau twins' lowlife was formed. the band's name was taken from a p.i.l. song!! go figure. anyway this is their 1st 12" release. with the rapid heartbeat of 'hollow gut' winning new fans also came 'from side to side' a gentle tremor of love and longing as 'permanent sleep' the silent cries....

the vaselines - son of gun 12'' 1987

nirvana did a cover version of this song and they did a pretty good cover of the divine's song ' you think you're a man'. i must say that song is probably the high point of this record, their releases are usually very pricey. and believe me it's worth your money. the vocalist eugene kellly after the band split formed eugenius or captain america. amen.

fake - brick 12'' 1985

fake discography, fake singles and albums. lots of fake 7''s and 12''s. this was/is considered to be the best swedish synthpop band produced in italy. and this single proves it undeniably!!! this has got to be their best song!!! although "right" is quite a classic as well!! grab one if you see one!

autumn parade - julia blue 7" 1992

this is yet another great song from the early 90s, madchester meets shoegaze!! you know they sound somewhere in between primal scream and spirea x. i think that's the closest way i can describe their music. with that being said, you gotta listen to it, so...

random single of the month

james was formed 1982 in manchester, england. led by tim booth they were offered an album deal with factory records after they caught tony wilson's attention playing a gig at 'the hacienda' but settled on a 3 track ep instead, 'jimone ep' was born their very 1st ep under factory records. they toured and supported bands like 'the fall' and 'the smiths'. i hope i don't get zapped by posting this great song, for they are still together. i have this record back in the early nineties and it still in a pristine conditon. pls. show your support to the band and buy their records and cds.
