For nearly fifty years the traumatic events of 22nd of November 1963 have been incomprehensible due to the scale of the scenario and due to an efficient cover up.
The basis of this book is derived from the factual evidence in Dealey Plaza on the day. Evidence of two fatal shots hitting the President from the front has always been supported by medical witnesses but is now for the first time equally supported by new irrefutable photographic evidence of two second gunmen - all in accordance with the testimony of witnesses Gordon Arnold and Ed Hoffman.
New evidence of returning Oswald's true Russian identity making him a perfect patsy in a false flag operation is presented. The true patriot, US Lee Harvey Oswald, was a false defector to USSR and was substituted by a Russian lookalike.
Contains more than 20 carefully selected videos included in this digital edition only for iPad.

English/Nat
The American (b) billionaire, Ross Perot, insists he's not planning another run for president of the United Sates.
He made the statement Friday as his organization - United We Stand, America - began a three-day conference in Dallas.
United We Stand - that's their motto and the name of their movement.
Ross Perot told participants to reassert themselves and make sure government leaders are doing their jobs.
Perot sought the 1992 presidential nomination as an independent.
SOUNDBITE:
Thank you very much, for the next three days we're going to be talking about the serious problems that we have to deal with now. We can't keep putting it off, if we don't solve these problems in a timely manner, literally millions of people will suffer for decades in this great country.
Cutaway
Starting today I hope that every American and every member of Congress will pledge to work together as one team to solve our problems and if we will, nothing can stop us, nothing can stop us.
SUPER CAPTION: Ross Perot, Presidential hopeful
President Clinton's making political overtures to the former independent presidential candidate and his supporters.
He says he'll consider naming Perot to a proposed commission on political reform.
All of the major Republican presidential candidates are planning
to attend to court members of the group.
The conference is to hear from two Republican presidential
candidates - Senate Majority Leader Bob Dole and Texas Senator Phil Gramm.
Outside the conference hall some members of the political group - suspected of plans to disrupt the convention - were barred from coming inside.
They wanted Perot to talk about more than he'd said he would: political and economic issues.
They said Perot had missed the boat by overlooking social issues such as abortion.
SOUNDBITE:
"We believe the priority is a return to the things of God, if people were to turn to biblical values and biblical morality, all of those issues would fall into place; socially, morally, financially - the whole thing could be wrapped up. So I think Mr Perot may be a bit off on his philosophy there."
SUPER CAPTION: Marc Vincent, Operation Rescue
Another criticism of the convention- and the political group in general- is the limited number of minorities involved.
This woman says minorities are welcome.
SOUNDBITE:
"Once again we have not dealt with it on a national basis, and invited minorities to come in, but I classify myself as a bridge builder so I'm here saying to other minorities `Come on in, it's okay, you'll be safe, the water's safe, you'll do fine."
SUPERCAPTION: Tansye Jackson, Member of United We Stand America
One minority representative was prominent - Jesse Jackson, a presidential hopeful who leads another large group of independent voters.
SOUNDBITE:
"Now citizens are moving again and for good reason, the country's headed in the wrong direction, Washington out of touch and so often in the way. You are part of that movement."
SUPERCAPTION: Jesse Jackson, Presidential Hopeful
Both the Jackson and Perot groups- two coalitions of independent voters- are being watched and wooed by both the Democratic and Republican party.

CAPTION: President Barack Obama welcomed the Dallas Mavericks to the White House Monday, seven months after they beat the Miami Heat for the NBA championship. (Jan. 9)
Location: Washington

President Barack Obama/POTUS
"Of course, none of this would be possible if it hadn't been for the shy and retiring owner -- (laughter) -- of the Dallas Mavericks, Mr. Mark Cuban. (Applause.) So not only did Mark help put together an outstanding group of players and coaches, he was also responsible for making this event happen today. And so we are thrilled to have you guys here.
It turns out that because of the lockout, Dallas wasn't scheduled to play in Washington this season. That did not sit well with Mark. (Laughter.) He knew this team had worked hard. He wanted them to get all the perks of a world championship, including a visit to the White House. It is tough to say no to Mark Cuban. And so they made a separate trip, and here we are."
[SOT/]
President Barack Obama/POTUS
"Last season, they called themselves the "Bad News Bears," because from the very beginning, nobody gave them much of a chance. People said that Jason Kidd was too old. And I will say that this is the first time I've been with some world champions who are my contemporaries. (Laughter and applause.)"
[SOT/]
President Barack Obama/POTUS
"Dirk joined the Mavericks 13 years ago as a skinny kid from Germany with what he describes as a "goofy" haircut. (Laughter.) Last year he became the second European player ever to be named Finals MVP. And it wasn't easy. He bent a finger so badly in Game Two that he had to shoot left-handed. In Game Four, he played through a 101- degree fever. But every time, he came through when it counted. And I think it's fair to say that we have very rarely seen a better playoff run than Dirk Nowitzki had last year. It was remarkable. (Applause.)"
[SOT/]
President Barack Obama/POTUS
"So this team really does have a heart that's the size of Texas. This was a remarkable run, a great victory, a great vindication for all the effort Mark Cuban put into building this team, and for long- time players like Dirk Nowitzki and long-suffering fans like all of you. (Laughter.)
And so I just want to give a heartfelt congratulations to all of you. I told them that it's too bad that next year it will be the Chicago Bulls here, -- (laughter) -- but they said I shouldn't be so confident. So congratulations, everybody. Give it up for the Dallas Mavericks. (Applause.)"

Robert Crummie's dual roles as President of Carver Bible College and as Pastor of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church are sure to cast a broad net for Christ. Whether he's serving his student body throughout the week or he's behind the pulpit on Sunday mornings, Robert Crummie is making Christ known to a world in desperate need of a Savior.

Dallas is the ninth most populous city in the United States and the third most populous city in the state of Texas. Dallas makes up one-fifth of the much larger urbanized area known as the Dallas--Fort Worth Metroplex, in which one quarter of all Texans live.
The most important places to visit in Dallas are: Southfork Ranch (it is known worldwide as the filming location for the "Dallas" series. Take a tour of America's most famous ranch), Botanical Garden (discover this wonderful garden in Dallas. The best time to visit is during Spring when thousands of flowers are blooming), Fair Park (home to museums and gardens, it is most famous for the amazing State Fair in the fall), Reunion Tower (one of the most famous landmarks of Dallas. Visitors can even dine at a restaurant at the top of the tower), Dealey Plaza (the site of John F. Kennedy's assassination in 1963. It is a national historic landmark and you can see the spot where the fatal shot hit) and many more.
If you want to save time and money, the most important Dallas travel tip is to compare prices before booking a hotel room or a flight. You can do this for free on http://bookinghunter.com, a site that searches through hundreds of other travel websites in real time for the best travel deals available.

Dallas - Texas - United States Travel guide http://goo.gl/tLsKrZ
Dallas is a young city with all the vigour of youth. Effigies of modern architecture rise like glass trees out of the downtown area. In 1841, it was simply a plan of 20 streets on the 256 hectares (640 acres) of south central America, claimed by a Tennessee lawyer, John Neely Bryan. Today, it is the ninth largest city in the USA, and including its western neighbour of Fort Worth, it is the nation's fastest growing metropolitan area.
Thriving at the bottom edge of America's Great Plains, Dallas has embraced dreamers and entrepreneurs for the better part of two centuries. Big D, as it's affectionately called, merges Southern hospitality with modern sophistication. Though the landscape looks different than at its humble beginning, the city still welcomes enterprising people who gather to share their grand ideas and stake claims on new frontiers.
Dallas will always be remembered for one, if not two, shootings. The first and most shocking occurred on 22 November 1963, when President J F Kennedy was assassinated in downtown Dallas. The second shooting may only have been fictional but, when J R Ewing was shot by an unknown killer in the TV series Dallas in the early 1980s, fans across the world were devastated. Even today, the legend of J R remains strong, as does the legacy of President Kennedy.
Today the city is a mecca for the banking, electronics and oil industries, as well as for dining, shopping, arts and entertainment. Large scale developments of urban lofts, apartments, condominiums, retail and both indoor and outdoor recreational facilities are springing up across the city. An impressive new Dallas Center for the Performing Arts opened in 2009 to vie with New York's Lincoln Center. New facilities and relevant attractions in and around this cultural centre continue to grow.
Among things you probably didn't know about Dallas: The city has the largest urban arts district in the United States spanning 19 blocks. What's more, the Dallas Arts District has more buildings designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architects in one contiguous location than anywhere else in the world. And Dallas' Fair Park, just a short distance east of the arts district and a district with numerous museums and venues, features the nation's largest collection of 1930s Art Deco, exposition-style architecture.
Dallas offers true Southern hospitality, be it in a humble hideaway cocktail bar or in the Mansion on Turtle Creek, repeatedly and regularly ranked as one of the world's top hotels. And with a 10th of its workforce in the hospitality industry, Dallas is always happy to have y'all come on in and stick around awhile.
Those wishing to explore further afield should take the busy freeway 30 miles to the west to the easy-going, cattle-driving, twin city of Fort Worth, home to a national historic district and a surprising stash of world-class art museums.
The similarities between the two include a stunning rate of business and population growth, in spite of a sluggish recent economy; a shared passion for the pro sports teams, including the Dallas Cowboys, whose new billion-dollar stadium is now in Tarrant County instead of Dallas; and a great pride in being Texan.

Welcome to Houston, Texas, one of the largest cities in the United States.
Once an outpost in the Old West, Houston is now a down-to-earth metropolis, boasting a tremendous shipping and energy industry, as well as plenty of culture.
Kick off your Houston tour at Discovery Green, a 12-acre park tucked beneath the city’s skyscrapers. You’ll find public art and plenty of space to picnic or go for walks. Houstoners take pride in their various parks, museums, and open spaces, like the Houston Arboretum, where you can go birdwatching, learn about green living, and hike the trails to explore local wildlife.
Speaking of exploring, your Houston sightseeing should include a trip to the USS Texas., This battleship served in two World Wars and now stands guard as a museum on the Buffalo Bayou. Head over to the Gulf for a walk on the beach while you watch the sunset, then get ready to gear up for the evening with some delicious TexMex shared with the locals. After you lose yourself in a few rounds of line dancing to burn off all those fajitas, you’ll be wondering why you didn’t come to Houston earlier.

If you're tired of the same old fast food and want something different, then head over to Latin Deli. It is one of the hidden gems in Dallas!
In a super casual, affordable, and friendly atmosphere, they serve the best sandwiches and pastries. The ambience is a strip mall, café-like setting with garish lime-green paint on the walls and a walk-up counter. This isn't a place you would go for first date or celebratory dinner. But definitely a must if you just want a delicious Latin sandwich!
Some of their must-haves include their Loma Saltado, Tres Leches Cupcake, Carrot Cake, Choco Flan, Red Velvet Cup Cake, Sweet Corn Muffins. As beautiful and delicious as their sandwiches are, they are still true to a simple plate of Chilaquiles.
Latin Deli hits three essential targets: Good, Fast and Cheap. It is a great place for brunch on the weekend. It's like waking up for breakfast at your mom's house. All-around, a delicious, affordable meal!
If you are in Dallas, Texas (USA) - do stop by and check them out! Meanwhile watch Pia and Anita's grub escapade as they experience the simple motto of Latin Deli - Eat, Laugh, Live!

For many people, the very name of Dallas is synonymous with retail therapy. The city's motto, after all, is 'if it can't be found in Dallas, it can't be found anywhere'. This is where Neiman Marcus, 1618 Main Street, began its fashion business in 1907, as an 'exclusive woman's ready-to-wear store'. Today, all manner of big names have gravitated around it, including Saks Fifth Avenue, Chanel, Ralph Lauren, Tiffany & Co and Christian Dior. The huge department store chain JC Penney also originated in Dallas.
Key areas:
The majority of fine shopping in Dallas is found just north of downtown in the Uptown district and in Highland Park and University Park. Interesting, more bohemian shops tend to be found in Deep Ellum, immediately east of downtown, and on Lower Greenville, which reaches just northeast of downtown. Great clusters of shopping areas are also found in suburban Dallas areas, all north of I-635, such as Plano, Frisco and McKinney.
Markets:
There is a large Farmer's Market, on the western end of Downtown, at South Harwood Street and Marilla Street.
Shopping centres:
The most upmarket is Highland Park Village, a National Historic landmark and one of the first American shopping centers, opened in 1931. Look here for such shops as Chanel, Jimmy Choo, Jermes, Harry Winston and dozens of other fashion names, as well as homegrown retailers like Calame Jewelers and Cooter's Village Camera.
Galleria Dallas, 13350 Dallas Parkway, is a revered name in Texas shopping. Stores here include BCBG, Dallas Cowboys Pro Shop and Old Navy, Tiffany & Co., American Girl, Nordstrom, Sak's Fifth Avenue and Macy's. There's an ice-skating ring with spectacular shows during the winter holidays, plus cinemas and restaurants.
NorthPark Center, 8687 N. Central Expressway, is compared with Beverly Hills' Rodeo Drive, but all-enclosed. Finer shopping abounds, with Neiman Marcus and boutiques from top-rate designers like CH Carolina Herrera, Herve Leger, Versace, and Salvatore Ferragamo, to name a few.
Opening hours:
Almost all retail stores are open daily, 1000-2100.
Souvenirs:
The best places to buy Texas souvenirs, such as western hats and boots and jewellery, are western-wear stores. These include Cowboy Cool, 3699 McKinney Avenue, a favorite boutique in the West Village, in the Uptown district; and Pink's Western Wear, 2475 N. Stemmons Freewaym, in the Medical District, northwest of downtown.
Tax information:
Sales tax is 8.25%.

Dallas Hotels
Dallas' hotel landscape matches that of its shopping and dining attractions -- choices are numerous in every category, from luxurious and expensive to humble and inexpensive. Keep in mind, however, that the majority of finer choices tend to be in downtown and the surrounding areas, whereas the less costly places may not be as close to the most popular attractions and restaurants. You pay, of course, for convenience.
The Dallas hotels below are grouped into three pricing categories:
Luxury (over US $250)
Moderate (US $130 to $250)
Cheap (up to US$130)
These Dallas hotel prices are the starting prices for a standard double room and include taxes unless otherwise specified. Breakfast may be included; investigate at time of booking.
W Dallas - Victory Hotel
Within walking distance from the Dallas Arts District, the trendy W Hotel remains edgy and relevant, thanks to a recent, multi-million-dollar renovation. Overlooking the sports venue of Victory Plaza and breathtaking night views of downtown Dallas, the hotel offers 252 oversized rooms and suites in categories named Wonderful, Cool Corner, Spectacular, Fabulous, Mega, Fantastic, Marvelous, Wow and Extreme Wow. Inside the W's Bliss spa, the Exotic Lime and Ginger Salt Glow body treatment is transcendental. Dinner in the gastropub called Cook Hall is casual yet very special.
Hotel ZaZa
This mind-boggling lodging in Uptown seems drawn from a Hollywood movie set. Lavish furnishings, Frette linens, cutting-edge technology, rainforest showers in luxurious bathrooms and high ceilings make the large 146 guest rooms and suites feel like private apartments within the South-of-France-style building. Meeting spaces accommodate up to 300. The on-site Dragonfly restaurant has won numerous awards for inspired contemporary cuisine and throngs of fans for its chic bar scene.
The Joule, Dallas
Downtown's most elegant boutique hotel sits within a lavishly renovated 1920s neo-Gothic building. An added 10-storey tower and contemporary lobby showcase stunning art and design structures highlighting the oil and gas theme appropriate to the 'Big D' (Dallas). The Joule's cantilevered pool extends 5ft off the edge of the building, and is even open free in the summer to non-guests from 0500 to noon. Rooms and suites have sleek, inventive décor, and the Fitness Center is state-of-the-art. Don't miss the hotel's restaurant and wine room, run by celebrity chef Charlie Palmer.

If you are up for exploring Dallas, here are a few tips. Like most of Texas, Dallas is mostly a driver's city, but there are a few more options in certain districts. If you're visiting sites in the West end, you can take the trolley and learn about the city from your tour guide. You can also use the local bus system or the light rail called DART. Both run through Downtown and surrounding districts. If you do have access to a car, you'd be best off driving to an area and walking to save time. Just be sure to wear comfortable shoes and sunscreen. With all the hot spots in Dallas, be sure to get reservations or arrive early as some places book up or sell out.

Public transport:
Public transport buses and trains are operated by the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) authority. The urban light railway and the commuter line, which are separate lines in the south and north, combine to form a single route in the downtown area. The system operates 0400-2400.
Bus tickets must be purchased with exact change in cash. Alternatively, prepaid tickets and day passes can be purchased from vending machines at the station. Day passes may be purchased in advance.
DART has joined forces with the volunteer-run McKinney Avenue Transit Authority to operate the historic M-Line Streetcar, providing free, daily transit service in downtown and to connect downtown with the uptown neighbourhood. Schedules and detailed route information are available.
Taxis:
Taxis operate 24 hours. Recommended are Checker Cab and Yellow Cab, both at the same depot, and Terminal Cab. A tip of 10% is expected.
Driving:
Driving in downtown Dallas at the weekends is feasible for the visitor, since the streets are relatively quiet. Morning and evening rush hour in the week is just the opposite and very frustrating.
Downtown Dallas is essentially on a north-south grid layout, although north of Pacific Avenue, the grid is skewed slightly and angled more on a northwest-southeast axis.
The most frequently used toll road in Dallas among visitors is the North Tollway, which goes from Downtown up into Collin County. Toll stations no longer exist; you will be invoiced for tolls you are owed (these will be charged to you by your car rental company).
There are meters and parking lots all over Downtown, which can be expensive, except at weekends. Visitors should read meters carefully as timings will be enforced.
Bicycle hire:
Bikes are available for hire from Richardson Bike Mart's White Rock Lake location, 9040 Garland Road Riding around the lake is wonderful in good weather.

Dealey Plaza and the Sixth Floor Museum
The Texas School Book Depository was a rather ordinary building in downtown Dallas until the infamous assassination of US President John F Kennedy on 22 November 1963 as he travelled in an open limousine through Dallas on a pre-election visit.
Lee Harvey Oswald, the 24-year-old local who was accused of the crime, had a filing job at the depository. The deadly shot was fired from the sixth floor of the building, which is now the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza documenting both the assassination itself and the life and times of JFK. This includes a minute-by-minute account of the action, the investigations and the various assassination theories that followed. The Plaza itself is simply an outdoor grassy area on the north side of Elm Street, where curiosity seekers gather at all hours of day and night.
Opening Times: Tue-Sun 1000-1800, Mon 1200-1800.
Admission Fees: Yes
Disabled Access: No
Unesco: No
Address: 411 Elm Street, Dallas, United States
African-American Museum
One of the rare modern buildings at Fair Park, this cross-shaped museum of ivory-colored stone stands out not just for its beautiful contemporary design but also for its commitment to the preservation and exhibition of African-American materials of artistic, cultural and historical value. Among noted collections is the Billy R. Allen Folk Art Collection. Through its four vaulted galleries, the Museum fully details African-American art and history from pre-colonial times to the present day, with permanent and temporary exhibitions.
Opening Times: Tue-Fri 1200-1700, Sat 1000-1700, Sun 1300-1700.

Dallas Museum of Art
The spacious permanent collection galleries at the Dallas Museum of Art, also a building designed by I.M. Pei, cover different types of art from ancient to modern times, from the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia, with 23,000 works of art. There is a complete children's museum within, which includes an outdoor play area. Extraordinary elements include a vast, glassed-in lobby and adjacent rooftop deck; a 298-seat theater with numerous projection capabilities; and a lovely café. The building itself is jaw-dropping, thanks to the work by 2005 Pritzker Architecture Prize Laureate Thom Mayne of the firm Morphosis.

Through its four vaulted galleries, the Museum fully details African-American art and history from pre-colonial times to the present day, with permanent and temporary exhibitions.

Dallas - Texas - United States Travel guide http://goo.gl/tLsKrZ
The irresistible appeal of Dallas' dining is its blend of cuisine influenced by the American South and Mexico, as well as its cattle and ranching heritage. Dallas is noted for inventing Tex-Mex plate and the world's first frozen margarita in 1971. Food became more sophisticated over time, with southwestern cuisine emerging in the 1980s, by pairing Latin and Native American cuisine with classic culinary techniques.
The restaurants below have been grouped into three different price categories:
Expensive (over US$50)
Moderate (US$30 to US$50)
Cheap (up to US$30)
These prices are for dinner for two people, excluding tax, alcohol or tips. In general, there is a sales tax of 8.25% added to restaurant bills. However, in reality, this tax varies and some restaurants only add the tax to either food or drink. Tipping of between 15 and 20% is expected and in some restaurants this may be added to the bill.
Abacus
Price: Expensive
Rating: 4
Cuisine: Asian-influenced American cuisine
The deft touch of executive chef Kent Rathbun and his stunning wine list has earned glorious praise from the national press, thanks to such pleasures as lager-braised veal breast with English pea pierogi; grilled duck with leg confit and black pepper-ricotta cavatelli; and fascinating sushi rolls, such as the Picasso, combining spicy tuna, roasted pineapple, avocado and salmon. For an extra treat, guests should try the chef's selection of five or eight small courses, with wine pairings, and luxuriate in the palate pampering and the soothing, sumptuous interiors.
Address: 4511 McKinney Avenue, Dallas, Texas, United States
Stephan Pyles
Price: Expensive
Rating: 5
Cuisine: Contemporary American & Southwestern
Widely known as one of the architects of Southwestern cuisine, Pyles, the much-loved native of West Texas and noted world traveller, has earned innumerable accolades from international publications for his namesake restaurant. His 'New Millennium Southwestern cuisine' features as a tasting of exotic ceviches (try ahi tuna with watermelon and pepitas), duck confit empanadas, wood-fired whole fish, and coriander-cured rack of lamb. Special drinks include Pisco Sour and smoky-apple Martini. A lovely update of a 1960s office building provides a warm, inviting setting in which to feast. Bring someone special with you.
Address: 1807 Ross Avenue, Dallas, Texas, United States
Fearing's
Price: Expensive
Rating: 5
Cuisine: American with Southern/Southwestern influences
After making the Mansion on Turtle Creek the leading dining destination in Texas for two decades, star chef Dean Fearing opened a place of his own at the prestigious Ritz-Carlton. In each of seven distinct settings under one roof, the popular southerner does much to please his ever-ardent fans, with maple-black peppercorn buffalo tenderloin, pecan-crusted halibut, crab tacos and -- at brunch -- stunningly good fried chicken. Drinks in his Rattlesnake Bar include El Diablo, a mixture of Patron Silver Tequila, blackcurrant liqueur, fresh lime juice and ginger ale.
Address: 2121 McKinney Avenue, Dallas, Texas, United States
Fireside Pies
Price: Moderate
Rating: 3
Cuisine: Italian
Certainly not the usual pizza joint, this is where you'll find spectacular pizzas. Inside a handsome, casual stone-and-wood building, you'll find a hip crowd hanging out over starters, wine and pies. Pizzas are baked in a wood-burning oven, topped with a fire-roasted tomato sauce, liberally garnished with four kinds of cheese, then decorated with such add-ons as meatballs, proscuitto, balsamic-roasted chicken, truffle oil or rocket salad. When in doubt, just order the 13th Pie, an ever-changing delight. Weather permitting, patio seating is divine.
Address: 2820 North Henderson Avenue, Dallas, Texas, United States
Primo's Bar & Grille
Price: Moderate
Rating: 3
Cuisine: Mexican
A long-time hangout in Uptown, this wonderful spot only gets better with age. The Sunday brunch is hugely satisfying, but any day of the week is perfect for top-rate margaritas and a plate of the delicious tacos camperos filled with beef fajita meat. Pile on jalapeno, cilantro , a slice of avocado and a spoonful of the tomato salsa on the table. It's a good spot to take a break from shopping and gallery-browsing; relax on the patio or in one of the rooms inside the hundred-year-old building with creaky wooden floors.

Donald Trump regales Dallas crowd with chest-thumping, promise of “wins”
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump speaks at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas Monday September 14, 2015. (Nathan Hunsinger/The Dallas Morning News)
Donald Trump regaled a crowd of thousands at American Airlines Center on Monday, bragging about his business acumen and pledging to aggressively deal with illegal immigration and companies that move jobs overseas.
“If I’m elected president, you are going to be so proud of your country again,” Trump told the boisterous crowd. “You’re going to remember this evening…and you’re going to say we were part of a movement to take back our country. And we will make America great again.”
Trump touted his success in the polls and poked at pundits, the media and his Republican rivals in the race for president. He promised to bolster women’s health care and the energy industry, and to boost tax revenue from companies that are keeping profits overseas — all without specifics of how he would pull it off.
One of his biggest applause lines came when he said of stopping illegal immigration: “We have to do it.”
He blasted the concept of cities not helping the government enforcing immigration laws: “We have to end this sanctuary cities crap fast,” he said.
“We are a dumping ground for the rest of the world.”
It was a political speech unlike any other, the chest-thumping reflecting the rise of a candidate who has confounded opponents, party officials and prognosticators in what’s been called the “summer of Trump.”
The centerpiece of Trump’s plan to curb illegal immigration is building a massive, costly wall along the country’s southern border with Mexico. Critics say such it’s impractical, but Trump contends he’s such a good negotiator, that he would get Mexico to pay for it.
“When you have Trump negotiating on your behalf, they will pay,” he said. “Someday, when I’m gone, they’re going to name that wall after Trump.”
Trump offered few policy initiatives, and also promised to bring jobs back to America, strengthen the military and take care of the nation’s veterans.
“We need somebody with great energy and great passion, with great deal-making skills,” he said. “We need a closer.
For the first time in the campaign, Trump had positive words for former Gov. Rick Perry, who dropped out of the race last week.
“He’s a nice guy, but he came after me hard,” Trump said. “I like the man. Frankly, he tried.”
And he had warm things to say about Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas but warned their alliance could end with one false move at Wednesday’s presidential debate.
“Now if he comes out attacking me on Wednesday night, I will take it back immediately,” Trump joked.
Up to 20,000 people were expected, but the upper levels of the arena were largely empty. Trump joked that he kept the arena under capacity to be fair to rival candidates who can’t draw as many attendees as he can.
Still, arena personnel estimated attendance at about 15,000, making it the biggest political theater in Dallas since Barack Obama, as a candidate, packed the old Reunion Arena. That event, in 2008, attracted more than 17,000 people.
About 1,000 people gathered outside American Airlines Center, chanting “dump the Trump” ahead of the speech.
Two women behind the barricade held a banner with Trump’s likeness bearing a Hitler mustache. Another man raised a sign that read “the KKK and nazi’s support Trump. Do you?” — a possible dig at Trump’s endorsement by white supremacist leader and politician David Duke.
Frances Olivera, 32, headed to join the group. Olivera, who wore a shirt that said “un dia sin Trump,” had attended the anti-Trump rally last week.
“The fact is he’s brilliant, he’s a very smart man, a very wealthy man, therefore his hateful platform can actually win,” she said. “Him using hate as his campaign is going at it completely wrong.”
Olivera, a caregiver, said she agrees with Trump on several issues but believes his stance on deportation is wrong.
“The minute I heard what he wanted to do, I was like, all right we’ve got to stop this, it’s making [America] look bad,” she said.
“The problem is our own people, the people with social, they’re the ones who are taxing our system, they’re the ones on welfare … they’re the ones who won’t take a job because it won’t pay what they want so they sit on unemployment,” she said.

Johnson was quickly sworn in as President on Air Force One at Love Field in Dallas on November 22, 1963, just two hours and eight minutes after President Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, amid suspicions of a conspiracy against the government. He was sworn in by U.S. District Judge Sarah T. Hughes, a family friend, making him the first (and so far only) President sworn in by a woman. He is also the only President to have been sworn in on Texas soil. In the rush, a bible was not at hand, so Johnson took the oath of office using a Roman Catholic missal from Kennedy's desk. Johnson being sworn in as president has become the most famous photo ever taken aboard a presidential aircraft. Johnson was convinced of the need to make an immediate transition of power after the assassination in order to provide stability to a grieving nation under shock. He and the secret service, concerned that he as well could be a target of a conspiracy, felt compelled to rapidly remove the new president from Dallas and return him to Washington. Naturally, this was greeted by some with assertions of Johnson being in too much haste to assume power.
In the days following the assassination, Lyndon B. Johnson made an address to Congress: "No memorial oration or eulogy could more eloquently honor President Kennedy's memory than the earliest possible passage of the Civil Rights Bill for which he fought so long."[63] The wave of national grief following the assassination gave enormous momentum to Johnson's promise to carry out Kennedy's programs.
One week after the assassination, on November 29, Johnson issued an executive order to rename NASA's Apollo Launch Operations Center and the NASA/Air Force Cape Canaveral launch facilities as the John F. Kennedy Space Center.[64] Cape Canaveral was officially known as "Cape Kennedy" from 1963 to 1973.[65][66]
Johnson was alert to the public demand for answers. To head off snowballing speculation about conspiracies, he immediately created a panel headed by Chief Justice Earl Warren, known as the Warren Commission, to investigate the assassination.[67] The commission conducted extensive research and hearings and unanimously concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in the assassination. Conspiracy theorists were not satisfied and kept active for decades.[68]
Johnson retained senior Kennedy appointees, some for the full term of his presidency, including the late President's brother, Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, with whom Johnson had a notoriously difficult relationship; Robert remained in office for a few months until leaving in 1964, to run for the Senate.[69] Johnson did bring in personal staff; although Johnson had no official Chief of Staff, Walter Jenkins was the first among a handful of equals and presided over the details of daily operations at the White House. George Reedy who was Johnson's second longest serving aid and assumed the post of Press Secretary when JFK's own Pierre Salinger left that post in March 1964.[70] Horace Busby was another "triple threat man" as Johnson referred to his aides. He served primarily as a speech writer and political analyst.[71] Bill Moyers was the youngest and in many ways the most extraordinary number of Johnson's staff. He handled scheduling and speechwriting part time.
The new president thought it advantageous to quickly pursue one of Kennedy's primary legislative goals – a tax cut. Johnson worked closely with Harry F. Byrd of Virginia to negotiate a reduction in the budget below $100 billion in exchange for what became overwhelming Senate approval of the Revenue Act of 1964. Congressional approval followed at the end of February, and facilitated efforts to follow on civil rights.[73] In late 1963 Johnson also launched the initial offensive of his War on Poverty, recruiting Kennedy relative Sargent Shriver, then head of the Peace Corps, to spearhead the effort. In March 1964, LBJ sent to Congress the Economic Opportunity Act, which created the Job Corps and the Community Action Program, designed to attack poverty locally. The act also created VISTA, Volunteers in Service to America, a domestic counterpart to the Peace Corps.

The Cowboys were pushed back to the Detroit 33-yard line after Romo was sacked on consecutive plays by Ndamukong Suh, but Bailey made a 51-yard field goal, making it a field goal game, 20–17. On the Lions' ensuing possession, the most controversial play of the game occurred. Stafford threw a pass intended for tight end Brandon Pettigrew who was being covered by Cowboys rookie linebacker Anthony Hitchens. Both players collided with each other and the pass fell incomplete. Back judge Lee Dyer threw a flag for defensive pass interference. After referee Pete Morelli announced the penalty, head linesman Jerry Bergman determined that Hitchens' actions did not warrant a penalty. Morelli then announced there was no foul on the play and the flag was picked up. The decision to change the initial call received significant media attention after the game and was widely decried as incorrect. NFL Vice President of Officiating, Dean Blandino stated that the non-call on pass interference was debatable, but holding definitely should have been called on the play.
The reversed call turned out to be crucial. Detroit tried to force the Cowboys to go offside on 4th and 1, but failed to do so and were penalized five yards for delay of game. Now faced with 4th and 6, Detroit decided to punt, and Sam Martin, who had averaged 48 yards on his last three kicks, shanked the ball, sending it out of bounds after netting just 10 yards to the Cowboys' 41-yard line. Romo then led the Cowboys 59 yards in 14 plays for the game-winning score, converting a 4th down and two 3rd downs along the way. Faced with 4th down and 6 from the Detroit 42-yard line, Romo completed a 21-yard pass to tight end Jason Witten. Later on, Romo threw an incomplete pass on 3rd and 7, but a defensive holding call on DeAndre Levy gave Dallas a first down on the Lions' 7-yard line. Two plays later, on 3rd and 8, Romo finished the drive with a touchdown pass to Williams, giving the Cowboys their first lead of the game at 24–20 with 2:32 left in regulation. A few plays into Detroit's ensuing drive, Stafford lost a fumble that was recovered by Dallas rookie lineman DeMarcus Lawrence. Instead of falling on the ball, he returned it and ended up fumbling it back to Detroit. The Lions got the ball back and drove into Cowboys territory, but on 4th down and 3 on the Cowboys' 42-yard line, Lawrence redeemed himself and forced and recovered a fumble from Stafford, enabling the Cowboys to run out the rest of the clock.
Stafford completed 28 of 42 passes for 323 yards and a touchdown, with an interception. Tate caught 8 passes for 89 yards and a touchdown, while Johnson had 5 catches for 85 yards. Romo finished 19-for-31 for 293 yards and 2 touchdowns. Williams caught 3 passes for 93 yards and 2 scores. Murray rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown, while also catching 3 passes for 22 yards.
