A young Perth motorcyclist has died and another is critically injured after separate crashes at Barbagallo Raceway on Saturday.
The deceased man, in his early twenties, was reportedly riding his motorcycle around 3pm when he lost control and fell off. Another rider then collided with him.
Paramedics rushed to the Neerabup race track but were unable to revive the man.
The incident occurred during the two-day Kings of Wanneroo event.
Another man at the same event was in a critical but stable condition at Royal Perth Hospital on Sunday after falling off his bike during a warm-up lap.
It is the second death at the racetrack this year and the sixth in 16 years.
In May, earlier this year, motorcyclist Daniel Chadbund died after his bike left the track and entered a sand patch before the rider came off and struck a tyre wall.
Speaking at the time Mr Chadbund's wife Hayley, made an emotional tribute to the 28-year-old.
"This world will never be the same without him," she said in a statement.
"Daniel was truly loved by all that crossed his path and epitomised the meaning of a loving husband, son, brother, uncle and true mate."
