Conair - Infiniti Pro Curl Secret

10.04.2016

As difficult as it is to believe, I’ve always struggled with achieving the perfect wave in my hair. I’ve tried using a flat iron, a standard curler, a wand, but I just didn’t turn out looking like all those girls with the flawless curls. So my hair was and has always been in constant straight mode. Except for the dirty gym hair bun :)
In come the Conair Infiniti Pro Curl Secret. To be honest with you, I was a little hesitant in trying it. What if my hair gets tangled in it and I had to chop it off? I just kept on envisioning the disaster of the woman who takes on the rotating corn challenge and gets her hair caught, leaving her with a huge bald spot right on the top of her head. EEK!!!!! But…I mustered up the courage to give it a try…starting with a strand from the back under my head of course. I’m adventurous but I’m no dummy :) So far so good, and attained a perfect wave. A mere 5 minutes later, I managed to complete my entire head and let me tell you…I LOVE IT!!!! Where has this tool been all my life? The curler has 2 heat settings and 3 timer settings. The higher the setting, the tighter the curl. I used the lowest setting for both along with no products (my hair was freshly cleaned and blow dried as of that morning) and it left me with a beautiful beach wave. No hair was lost, no fingers were burned and no patience had run out in the process. This curler from heaven comes highly recommended by me, the woman who’s tried everything imaginable to get even a slight wave in her hair. Thumbs up Conair!

Polette

Four reasons why you should be buying your sunglasses and eyeglasses from Polette.

1. They have the lowest prices on the market.
2. A vast array of original frames which are trendy and with great quality.
3. They omit the wholesaler and the importer so goods are sent to you directly from factories.
4. I actually don't need another reason. Check them out and you'll thank me that you did.

Only You - Inspiration

8.18.2016

Where do you get your fashion inspiration from? I get mine from other bloggers, brand lookbooks, movies, etc.
Last year, I laced up my sneakers around my ankle rather than your typical bunny ears tie.
I thought it was pretty cool and as you can see from my Instagram, still do it to this day. Lace-up anything is incredibly trendy now so I fit right in :)
I got my inspiration from the movie Only You featuring Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr. It's an older movie from 1994 and if you're a hopeless romantic as I am, you'll love it just as much as I do. God knows how many times I've seen it and can probably recite the entire film out to you.
Thinking back on the film, I realize that not only are the way she tied her sneakers in the film trendy, but other outfits as well are pretty relevant today.
Shop a few looks below and if you haven't watched the movie yet...in the words of Ellie Goulding, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

Big Mac Pizza - Say What???

8.16.2016

I love Big Mac's. I love pizza. Combine the two together and you have one of the most tantalizing meals you'll ever have. A Big Mac Pizza!
I first tasted this a year ago at a local caf矇 and instantly fell in love. This past weekend, we organized a pizza party at my place and of course, I had to try and replicate the infamous b-mac pizza for everyone. Score! It was devoured and gone in minutes. The top pizza of the night by far.
The recipe I followed was from Kraft. Easy and delicious :)

Ingredients
  • Ground beef
  • Kraft Thousand island Dressing
  • 1 pizza crust
  • Kraft Pizza Four Cheese Blend
  • Lettuce
  • Pickle slices (optional)

1. Brown ground beef in a skillet.
2. Spread 1/2 cup of dressing on pizza crust.
3. Sprinkle on 1 cup of cheese.
4. Place desired amount of cooked ground beef on top of cheese layer.
5. Cover with another cup of cheese.
6. Bake in oven at 425 degrees F for about 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
7. Shred lettuce and place on pizza with pickle slices.
(I omitted the pickles as I also do with my Big Mac, and I sprinkled some more dressing on pizza before serving.)

Bon Appetit!
