Tip 1:
To ripen, place the avocado in a paper bag with a banana. Store at room temperature out of direct sunlight. Test daily for ripeness.
Tip 2:
To test if an avocado is ripe, use your fingers to gently press the stem end. If the avocado yields to gentle pressure, it's ripe.
Tip 3:
To remove the stone, halve the avocado. Tap the knife into the stone. Twist the avocado half slightly to loosen the stone and remove.
