Cricketer, footballer, media identity and best selling author Max Walker has died aged 68.
Walker played 34 Tests for Australia, before moving on to a successful career as a commentator and writer.
He was named a Member of the Order of Australia in 2011, but also battled prostate cancer post-retirement.
Australian cricket great Ian Chappell told Neil Mitchell that Walker was a formidable cricketer.
"Tangles was all elbows and arms and thrashing around, as you said, he wasn't the quickest ... and he certainly wasn't the best looking player, but I reckon he would have been a nightmare to play against," Chappell told 3AW Mornings.
