Medical marijuana is set to be legalised in Victoria, but one doctor says it shouldn't be.

Tom Elliott spoke with Dr Dilip Kapur, a specialist pain medicine physician.

Dr Kapur is speaking at a conference about medical marijuana in Adelaide today.

He says the political push for cannabis to be legalised for pain relief because "people are suffering now" is morally and socially irresponsible.
