Sept 14 2013 – International mobilization for Sonja Suder of the Revolutionary Cells (Germany)

Wednesday, August 28th, 2013

Two years in jail, it’s two years too much !

September the 14th of 2013- Let’s all mobilize everywhere to protest against the legitimization of torture in Sonja Suder’s trial and for her liberation.

September the 14th of 2011, Sonja and her friend Christian have been extradited by France to be given to German cops and jailed. Christian has been freed since but Sonja is still in jail. They left Germany in 1978 when, after a fierce repression of the revolutionary movements, every person involved in the radical protest could fear being the target of State revenge.

For two years, Sonja has been in custody in the high-security district of the prison Frankfurt-Preungesheim ; for a year she’s been enduring a trial grounded on two testimonies : one from a penitent given against a remission, the other given under torture in 1978 by a man suspected to belong to the Revolutionary Cells (RZ). If the penitent [snitch] Hans-Joachim Klein testified without shame in the Frankfurt court to give the umpteenth version of a testimony full of nonsense and contradictions (that the judge thinks worth considering anyway), Hermann F., on the contrary, always protested against the elements standing in the cross-examination he has been through : these elements are just the result of four months of torture outside of any procedural frame. Hamburg: Attack on courthouse (Germany)

Monday, August 26th, 2013

The night of the 26th August an attack with stones and colour happened against the courthouse in Hamburg. Windows were smashed and the entrance coloured. In a text that appeared it was claimed that the attack happened in solidarity with the ones facing everyday state repression. Also with the comrades raided in Berlin because of attacks against jobcenters and a solidarity action for the revolt in Turkey. Also it was in solidarity with the comrade Sonja Suder who is still imprisoned for her uncompromising stand against the state and Justice!

Here is the original writing:

RZ – Sonja & Christian: Solidarity is the tenderness of revolutionary subversion! (Germany)

Sunday, June 23rd, 2013

There is a new anarchist poster in solidarity with Sonja, Christian and Sybille which can be found on the walls of different German cities. Sonja and Sybille are in prison in Frankfurt am Main and Christian is out under restriction because he’s too sick to stay in prison. The first part of the trial continues after the summer. Here is the poster – Zärtlichkeit and a translation of it is below. Es lebe die Anarchie!

Solidarity is the tenderness of revolutionary subversion!

You ask me: “What should we do? How can we stand against all this heteronomy, control, repression, violence, which is called normality? What can we hold against all the bureaucracy, the uniforms and weapons, the monsters of technology, their laws and their morality based on compulsions, guilt and fear?”

I answer you: “I don’t know the solution, the right way or the perfect strategy and I don’t think it exists. But I do know that it’s mutual help, respect, love and solidarity which will make our relationships dangerous and rebellious once again.
I know that the only thing stronger than our urge for freedom is the hate for those who take it from us!
I know that there doesn’t need any justification for the insurrection and there is no minute to wait!
I know that back then and now there are thousands of reasons for the revolt!

Solidarity with Sonja and Christian who are persecuted and detained for their consequent stand against State and Justice. They are accused of participation in the “Revolutionäre Zellen” (RZ) (Revolutionary Cells) and their struggles in the 70s.

Solidarity with Sybille, who was detained in the same trial for refusing to cooperate with the authorities!

An embrace for all those who are charged and detained for their ideas and struggles.
An embrace for all who never sold out or forgot their ideas of a life in freedom!

For a life without authority in freedom!

New Year's Eve Overview from ABC Berlin (Germany)

Tuesday, January 10th, 2012

The night of the new year’s eve has seen again a lot of different type of protests taking place in Germany against prisons and all forms of detention, as well as against some of those, who daily enforce their existence.

The traditional demonstrations at local prisons saw an increase in their numbers and more cities decided that this was a good way to salute the upcoming year.

In Berlin, the month of December hosted several events under the motto “Behind different windows… but the chains remain the same ones! New year’s eve to the prisons – question, demount and destroy the machine of prison!”, events ranged from discussion about ongoing trials against comrades, the building of a new detention center at the new Berlin’s airport, to a demonstration against the local detention center for immigrants. Solidarity with Sonja and Christian!
After 33 years in French exile, Sonja Suder, 79, and Christian Gauger, 70, were extradited to Germany on September 14, 2011. Christian was transported across the border in an ambulance! Sonja was jailed in Frankfurt-Preungesheim; Christian in a prison hospital. Christian, who suffered cardiac arrest in October of 1997 and has since been under constant medical and personal care, wasn’t released from detention until one month after his extradition; he now is forced to report to the cops twice per week. Sonja, who continues to be detained in Preungesheim, is likely the oldest woman in Europe awaiting trial in jail. Prosecutors brought charges in November and are planning to bring the cases to trial in 2012.

A Long Tradition of Resistance
As part of the political left, the Revolutionaere Zellen (Revolutionary Cells, RZ) started tackling the revolutionary perspective in the BRD in 1973, striving to identify novel formats of militancy and starting points for resistance. It formed a third urban guerilla group, next to RAF and Bewegung 2. Juni (2nd June Movement); however, RZ opted against a vanguard position, choosing to act from within the legal left movement instead. In the mid-1970s, RZ spawned a feminist organization, Rote Zora. RZ and Rote Zora ceased action in the early 1990s. (more…)
