Brighton: Banner-drop at the War Memorial (UK)
Tuesday, October 25th, 2016
‘we got up nice and early this morning to put up a banner expressing solidarity and anger towards the situation in Calais where, on 17th October, the French state have planned to begin a total eviction of the jungle. The banner was attached to the flagpoles in front of the war memorial in the centre of the city, somewhere that people regularly go to visit to remind themselves of their nationalist pride and identity that has been built on war, genocide, displacement, criminalisation and conquerence of other people. We want to show solidarity in this small way not just with the people in the jungle but in all places where people are trying to get on with their lives in the face of such incredible and brutal opposition – the peeps on strike/resisting within prisons all over the place, everyone fighting some serious battles against the Dakota access pipeline, autonomous zones under attack, the list is endless.
reduced mobility meant that the banner wasn’t up very high so unfortunately it was taken down within a few hours, but we hope that whoever did it enjoyed the generous amounts of lube that we smothered the ropes with… ‘

Marseille: Incendiary attack against a GDF Suez car in solidarity with Calais (France)
Monday, March 21st, 2016
In recent weeks, the State and its “good” army have intensified their attacks against our friends in Calais, between two racist pogroms unleashed by fascists. But those who attack libertarian networks should expect strong reactions.
If the houses built in Calais are destroyed, we’ll destroy the repressive infrastructure, in Marseille like anywhere else.
In response to the destruction and attacks against the Calais Jungle, we burned a van of {Cofely – GDF Suez}, who profit from the management of so-called “migrants” by participating in the construction of detention centres in France and in Italy – Friday 4th March in the neighbourhood of Baille.
The struggle against all borders, States, and the society of exclusion and eviction, will continue.
For a solidarity-based life.

Calais: Fascist demo banned, fascist threat continues… (France)

UPDATE : Fascists blockade Dover pub garden – ANTIFA DEMO REPORT 25th Jan
From rabbleLDN:
The local state authorities (Prefecture) have banned the fascist demo planned in Calais on Sunday by the “Sauvons Calais” group. The fascists have announced on their facebook page that they are going to obey the order and have called off the demo, although asserting that everyone has “freedom of movement [!!!] and can do what they want”.
Based on previous experience, it is likely that some fascists will still come to Calais, perhaps staying in smaller groups and launching surprise attacks rather than trying to gather together in the centre. In the past, nazi groups have lingered some days after announced demos to form “hunting parties” against migrants and anti-fascists.
Given this, and because there is always plenty to do, comrades in Calais still very much welcome support from anyone planning to travel to the town. Get in touch with Calais Migrant Solidarity.
On the English side of the channel, the simultaneous fascist demo in Dover is still very much going ahead. Antifascists will be there to oppose them. See the call-out here.
As swastika-tattooed Kevin Reche, the young leader of “Sauvons Calais”, is personally banned from demonstrating in Calais town centre, it is thought quite possible that he (and other known Calais fash) will take the ferry to Dover to join the demo there. He is the one on the right in the photo above.

25 Jan: Call out for counter-demo against fascist group 'Sauvons Calais' (France)
Saturday, January 17th, 2015
On the 25th of January the fascist group Sauvons Calais are planning a march against migration at Place d’Armes at 2 am.
Now is the time for movement – we call for migration and any action attacking the fascism we see rise around us. In Calais we see more fascist gatherings, more threats, whilst the occupation of life by the state is ongoing. More and more the cops impose their control on the streets, jungles, houses, places were we live and sleep, our movements, the harbour and the highways, the parkings and the gas stations. Still the deaths caused by the border regime continue. The law of Europe. The fascist voices getting more seats in the shiny parliamentary rooms.
We call for anti-fascist mobilisation. The wind showed us the way in December, blowing down the new security fence at the port, installed by the UK government in a €15 million deal with the French authorities to seal the border. All things can be torn down. We dream of a time when not only so called organised fascists will not gather in the streets, but also cops and politicians responsible for the border regime don’t have the opportunity to rule over our lives and movements. Calais: Fascist attacks continue against Rue Émile Dumont, Coulogne & call-out for assembly (France)
Monday, February 24th, 2014
Read this: Calais: Communiqué from people inside Rue Émile Dumont, Coulogne
325 receives and transmits:
UPDATE 8AM Monday 24/2:
Local Calais media are reporting the demonstration of around 50 racists continued through Sunday. The fire brigade were called after a group of men were spotted nearby by neighbours with jerrycans of petrol to prepare more molotov cocktails.
ASSEMBLY AGAINST FASCISM AND FOR TOLERANCE. AND SOLIDARITY
Call-out from anti-racist residents of Calais.
Gathering with music and dance, words and food.
Saturday 1 March 2.30 PM. Place d’Armes, Calais.
We are indignant to see that hundreds of people are living in the street whilst houses are empty and abandoned. Indignant about the passivity or hostility of the authorities and for the demonstrations of fascist hatred in these last days.
These fascists do not represent Calais. There are also many more people who have been engaged for years, as individuals or with groups, in hospitality and openness.
Whether we are long term residents of Calais or passing through, we will come to share a moment of tolerance and solidarity.

Calais: Fascists mobilise against squatters – International call-out for support and solidarity (France)
Saturday, February 22nd, 2014
Solidarity desperately needed in Calais to resist fascists mobilising against a squatted farm house. Up to 50 fascists have been present, throwing rocks & fireworks, with a few who have tried to smash their way in with a sledgehammer. Support needed!

Justice for Noureddin Mohamed! (France)
Sunday, August 5th, 2012
No more border killings!
Request for solidarity!
Our friend and comrade, Noureddin Mohamed, died in the centre of Calais, France, in the early hours of Saturday 7 July 2012. Noureddin was 28 years old. Originally from North Darfur, Sudan, he had been in Calais for more than four years. He was well known and loved in Calais, and leaves many grieving friends. He died just some 200 metres from the Sub-prefecture (government office) where he had recently been granted leave to remain in France as a refugee. (more…)
