Letter from imprisoned anarchist comrades Tamara Sol and Natalia Collado (Chile)

Thursday, August 25th, 2016

Comrades Tamara Sol and Natalia Collado have sent this statement on the occasion of the following initiatives: Anti-authoritarian Day for comrades Tamara Sol, Natalia and Nataly at the Libertarian Library Manuel Rojas. Sunday, July 17; 1st Antiauthoritarian Café Literario at the Kanno Suga and Denjiro Kotoku library. Saturday, July 30.

To the comrades, those in affinity, to those present. We were surprised to learn of this initiative, and we consider it very highly knowing that it is an initiative that comes from people whom we do not know or with whom we have no ties, who as individuals and as a group feel the desire to come together in an act of solidarity and affinities, which we greet with the affection and strength that we receive and which gives us the energy to face the prison context as we would like to.

Three weeks have passed since we found ourselves in the maximum-security section of the prison where, unlike the rest of the prison population (the other pavilions), we cannot get out of the section unless handcuffed and with a guard at our side to control us. Likewise we are prevented from participating in learning or recreational activities apart from going out a couple of days to play women’s football at the field. (more…)

Words from Sol Farías Vergara, nihilist-anarchist prisoner ($hile)

Thursday, May 26th, 2016

Words from Tamara Sol Farías Vergara (Castellano Abajo)
$hile: Summer 2016

When you have been behind bars in isolation from the rest of the prison population, daily existence becomes difficult in such a small space, where society and its roles are intensified and adaption becomes a daily struggle to resist being swept by its morale and its desire to consume. Thieves, drug traffickers and murderers internalize the State and its Power, as with its authority.

I seek to reach out without ceasing to be myself, without the isolation that the police implements. We are not all that different, only that the chains that tie them down become ties that I do not wish to let go of, whereby tensions become routine. Life is unwrapped in what we are more than words can explain, but when will turns into a specific schedule to wake, eat and sleep, the battle against the established order begins in the abstract of ideas and in memory. It begins in the search for the smallest details or gestures of honesty not yet contaminated by competition between poor people, since the walls are great, the bars and locks are as well, and are in the hands of a physical enemy the size of a territory. I see going against it now as nothing but increases its power, therefore, I patiently wait the right moment for liberation, and in this way find the theory and practice in life itself. (more…)

Comrade Tamara Sol: Public Communique + Update on Transfer to High Security Prison ($hile)

Sunday, May 31st, 2015

Tamara Sol Farís Vergara is Transferred to High Security Prison

This Wednesday, May 27th, 2015, Tamara Sol Farías Vergara was transferred to the ill-named “Centre for Feminine Orientation” (COF) located at Vicuña Mackenna and Capitan Prat streets in San Joaquin, Santiago.

The prison guard, Jenny Muñoz Gajardo, a Commandant who is in charge of the incarceration of over 500 women in the [prison] centre of extermination of “San Miguel,” is a loyal representative of police brutality and is paid millions of pesos to employ the logic of prison punishment and the control over people’s lives. This officer let her rage out with Tamara Sol and did not let her say goodbye to her cellmate, taking her out forcefully, without giving Sol the chance to pack her personal belongings (her prison mates gathered up what they could in a bag that Sol has yet to receive). We are told that Tamara Sol resisted with punches, screams and spits while being forced out by the prison guards, and was then handcuffed and taken to solitary confinement around 6pm. (more…)

Public communique from the Vergara Family, in regards to Tamara Sol’s new legal status (Chile)

Thursday, March 19th, 2015

from refractario transl. waronsociety:

Dear friends,

Compañeras and compañeros,

We would like to share with you the status of the legal situation our Tamara Sol is facing, prisoner in San Miguel jail in a “high security” module, since the 21st of January. She has lived this year along with other compañeras locked down for 23 hours a day with one hour to go out to the yard. She receives two visits a week, 5 people on Monday and 5 people on Friday (two hours each time). Tamara is accused of “attempted murder” and robbery. The prosecutor asked for 7 years without benefits*, from the first day she was detained.

We, her family, have been doomed to work primarily with her lawyers, Nelson Miranda and Margarita López, on all of the legal procedures to achieve the reduction of the sentence and ensure the corresponding legal benefits be taken into account, for previous irreproachable conduct and other extenuating circumstances. Also, the judges order to take a DNA sample of Sol, to include it in the National Register of Convicted.

Update on Tamara Sol’s trial + Soli-Banner in Buenos Aires (Chile & Argentina)

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2015

Inter Arma received from Sin Banderas Ni Fronteras:

After one year of detention in San Miguel prison, anarchist comrade Tamara Sol started to face the trial in which power aims to annihilate her. Tamara is accused of shooting a bank guard in January 2014, just days after a bank guard killed comrade Sebastian Oversluij in an attempted bank robbery, in a different bank branch.

In November 2014, a brief preparation for trial against Tamara was performed, which finally started on this January 23. Tamara is facing a democratic inquisition that wants to sentence her to several years in prison, with charges of attempted murder and accomplished simple theft. (more…)

[Athens, 25-31/12/2014]

FROM CHILE TO GREECE

“Bad evening my lords even if it’s not your will… the rebels are on the ramparts fuck your Christ!”*

These “holy” days when social problems are buried beneath the hypocritical smiles of a rotten society – that forgives itself with a smokescreen of fake love and joy, in an atmosphere full with festive togetherness, trying to stimulate the sense of security, prosperity and of a fictional consuming ability of the citizens in order for the commercial economy affected by the crisis to counterbalance its losses – and the streets of the metropolis inundated by giggly consuming assholes, while dozens of homeless people are suffering in the darkest corners and workers in the trade sector (without them being blameless) spit blood for the exhausting work hours and the “white nights” of the bosses, we decided to “mail” our own gifts to our loved ones and at the same time send some greeting mines to our enemies with the promise of a rebellious 2015. Preliminary hearing of the trial against anarchist comrade Tamara Sol Farias Vergara ($hile)

Saturday, December 27th, 2014

From RadioAzione
Translated by act for freedom now

The preliminary hearing of the trial against comrade Tamara Sol Farias Vergara took place in Santiago on Monday 24th November. Tamara has been held prisoner in the jail of San Miguel for almost a year on charges of attempted murder and theft.

During the hearing defence lawyers and prosecutors submitted evidence reports, witness statements and other findings.

The court rejected about 28 witnesses for the prosecution, most of them cops of OS-9 and bank employees. Many of them did not even witness the events that led to Tamara’s arrest.

The judge also accepted a defence lawyers’ request and rejected other evidence, findings and materials presented by the prosecution and the representative of Banco Estado (the claimant).

There was a strong presence at this first hearing of comrades who have expressed solidarity with the comrade and her family from the start. But the comrades had to stay outside the court as the judge ordered the hearing be held behind closed doors. In spite of this Tamara managed to hear the slogans shouted by the comrades outside.

The triad of judges will be appointed and the date of the start of the trial fixed in the next few days.

Solidarity and complicity with Tamara Sol!

Unto the Threats of Power: No Silence or Complacency! (Update from Chile)

Monday, August 18th, 2014

A brief update on the present situation, received from the Chilean comrades:

Spread the revolt for the total liberation with all forms of struggle, and against all authority!!

In the last few weeks, we have seen through the media how the Powerful have initiated a new offensive against the anti-authoritarian/anarchist community. Once again, we can see how the newspapers and news channels have propagated the idea of trapping those responsible for various arson attacks and explosions that have taken place since 2011.

Alleged suspects are turned into convicts through the media, with the end of validating future repressive waves unto so-called “public opinion,” unleashing possible identities, accusations, and investigative lines.

This is not a new context considering the continuation of strategies that those in power have developed throughout history to annihilate all forms of radical expression and revolutionary struggle. Moreover, we have a recent case in 2010 that unleashed a mass media campaign that prepared the way to “Operation Salamandra” led by then Prosecutor Peña, through which many homes, social centres, squat houses were raided under charges for the alleged [Chilean Anarchist] “Bombs Case”. The accused spent a year in prison and ended up being absolved by the Courts due to lack of evidence. (more…)

Update on the situation of Tamara Sol – harassment and punishment (Chile)

Thursday, July 10th, 2014

From instintosalvaje, translated by waronsociety:

Note by Instinto Salvaje: Our solidarity with our compañera Tamara Sol Farias Vergara is unrestricted, therefore we cannot be quiet about the situation that is happening with our compañera and her family. We only wish to express our irreducible love for our sisters and brothers in prison and for their families and close circle. And to our enemies we want to make clear our hatred with a few words and in each action that each individual and compañerx deems fitting.

To our friends, compañeros and compañeras:

We are the family of Tamara Sol Farías Vergara. As you are already aware, Tamara has been a prisoner in the San Miguel prison since January 22, 2014. In visitation on Monday, June 16, which was a family-only visit, we had serious problems with gendarmería due to the humiliating treatment we were submitted to. The guard who reviewed Tamara’s grandmother, Luisa, who is 75 years old, made her get naked and do squats, reproaching her that she was wearing a lot of clothing. It is worth mentioning that the place where the prisoners receive their families is a gymnasium with a roof but open on both sides, where the wind and rain come in, getting the entire floor wet and creating an extremely cold and damp atmosphere. Then this same official shouted at another inmate’s visitor because her months-old baby was soiled during the review, shouting at her that this could not be, that she had to change her before coming in! This mother arrived in tears to the gymnasium designated for visitation. (more…)

Phoenix Project #12 : ICR – FAI/IRF take responsibility for arson barrage in solidarity with Adriano Antonacci, Gianluca Iacovacci, other worldwide anarchist prisoners and the combative memory of Sebastian O. Seguel (Indonesia)

Friday, May 16th, 2014

Phoenix Project #12 [previous acts here.]

“Our words, carve today like a blade and our actions burn the bridges with yesterday… With tenacity and will, until we murder authority.”

Conspiracy of Cells of Fire: Prisoners Cell, Andreas Tsavdaridis and Sypros Mandylas, (Letter to Alfredo Cospito and Nicola Gai)

The declarations of war against authority won’t stop with one single action nor one single letter of publication. It is a totality of our lives, each one of us, who stands here as egoists under the name of International Conspiracy for Revenge (ICR) as part of the Informal Anarchist Federation/International Revolutionary Front. We won’t step back, even if we are isolated or deserted by the other “revolutionary anarchists” who devoted themselves to the dreams of society, those who let their own values as anarchists be imposed wholly by reformism, negotiation and conformity. We are out of their league and we won’t play their game. We have our own, one of violence and direct action. With nihilist comradeship through fire and fists to our comrades locked behind bars everywhere, in Europe, in South America and Mexico. Our comradeship also goes to those anonymous comrades who went underground to carry on a constant confrontation with Power.

Recent Situation Concerning the General Election in Indonesia

Since the first New Year fireworks started, all forms of oppression revelled in the curiosity and impatience before the general election (both the parliamentary election and the presidential election). We saw how the oppressors and the oppressed were walking hand-in-hand to celebrate what they call: The time of new hope for a better change. They printed the faces of those who are running for parliament and others are debating what should they do to contribute to make democracy better than they have it nowadays. Mass and social media all filled with empty words and the camouflage of how the general election will bring the oppressed to gain their freedom. And that is definitely right, because Indonesians will have the chance to choose who will be their oppressors for the next five years.

We are not even surprised when we found out that those who claimed themselves as anti-authoritarians were also merely trapped into the logic of giving your voice during an election or abstaining.

They producing memes, producing posters, shouting it out, organizing people, just not to vote. To say no to voting boxes, to say no to the parliaments candidates; they say no to the parties, they say no to every infrastructure of the voting system, but forget one important thing. To say no to the boundaries that kept them away from real freedom. They wish a different result by trying the similar way as used by Power. And how it can lead you to freedom? A question that doesn’t need an answer, since it is useless to question the choices of these people.

Anarchism is dead. And these people are the ones who proudly carry the coffin of their so-called ideology: Anarchism. An ideology of the weak and cowardly who called us “obsessed with violence” to cover up their fear. They are afraid to arm themselves and walk alone into battle, a long battle without end or goal.

And how different are we from these mobs?
We performed our disagreement with both those mobs by burning down two offices of the general election committee located in Donggala, Central Sulawesi on 16th April. We won’t stay away and let our enemy play around with their party of democracy. We directly sent our anger and transformed it into fire. We are not abstaining in this war. We attack.

We are not those anarchists who went to voting spots and painted slogans and chants on the ballot boxes. We won’t smear our values by letting our finger be painted with purple ink, a sign used by the authorities to identify who voted and those who did not. We won’t let one single inch in our body be polluted by our enemy. On the contrary, we attacked them without compromise.

On another chance, we sabotaged two cars (28th April) which were planned to transfer the ballots from South East Minahasa district to the capital city of province, Manado. We hit them not only to cause delay, but for our further action, which we cancelled because of an intervention by some “good citizens”. Next time, we will hit those who prevent us from our actions. With violence, of course.

Abstaining by not giving our voices is not enough for us. We want to bring this confrontation to be more wild than mere words or posters. We want to speak through fire, as we mentioned in one of our communiques before. But we don’t invite anyone to join us. We are not interested to have new members. We are not a party nor an anarchist collective. We are an armed group of the tendency of violence. To attack, and not to open a dialogue with our enemies.

Solidarity and Fire

During our campaign, we targeted some important spots which were never targeted before. We are expanding our targets by adding some more variety to them. On 19th April, for example, we burnt down the branch of the national electric office in Madiun, East Java. This action is part of our campaign to hit the vital spots of the enemy. By causing as much damage as we can. Causing terror as wide as we can. We set the fire early morning 3.00am, and let the flames do the rest. Awakening people in the morning with fire is our way to show our sarcasm to the workers who need to get up in the early morning for eight hours of slavery.

We chose this target as our way to send a message to Adriano Antonacci and Gianluca Iacovacci. Both are Italian comrades arrested and accused for several actions claimed by Anti-Civilization Subversive Individualities FAI/IRF. And our fire is specifically dedicated to two of them, to share our thoughts and dreams, our values and solidarity and to let both of them know that they are in our hearts. We will never forget comrades who are captured by the enemy.
And revenge is the only way to reply to this repression.

We continued our campaign by putting a similar incendiary device in the national electric company located in Semarang, Central Java, in early morning 23rd April, which failed to ignite. In fact, we swarmed over the security guard that came by when we were sneaking into the office. He is lucky we decided to let him down and not put an end to his life.

It’s not a mercy from us, but merely a warning that we are not playground kids who are playing around with fire. If one steps before our path, we won’t regret to help you to meet your end. All snoopers or wannabe good-citizens are part of the enemy for us. And please take it serious and do not say that we never warned you beforehand.

In the early part of this month, we continued our campaign by attacking another three power plants in three different places. One in Ternate (5th May), North Maluku and another two in Ambon (8th May), Maluku. We would like the enemy to know that all the regions are not safe and we will attack more and more next time.

All these actions are dedicated to our beloved comrades, Conspiracy of Cells of Fire; Prisoners Cell, Andreas Tsavdaridis – Spyros Mandylas, Gabriel Pombo da Silva, Marco Camenisch, Monica Caballero, Fransisco Solar, Tamara Sol Vergara, Fredy Fuentevilla – Marcelo Villarroel – Juan Aliste Vega, Hans Niemeyer, Alvonso Alvial – Hermez Gonzales, Alfredo Cospito – Nicola Gai, Giannis Mihailidis, Grigoris Sarafoudis, Andreas-Dimitris Bourzoukos, Alexandros Mitrousias, Dimitris Politis, Fivos Harisis, Tasos Theofilou, Argiris Dalios, Giorgos Karagiannidis, Babis Tsilianidis, Giannis Naxakis, Nikos Romanos.

And to remember our brother, Sebastian O. Seguel, who fell in the battle against the enemy in Chile. These acts of revenge are for you, brother.

Through these actions, we want to re-call our comrades of FAI-IRF to once again strike and re-launch the Phoenix Project. This time, harder than before. We want to call all active cells of FAI/IRF to once again go to reinforce the war, this time until the end.

Violence of war against the existent
Down with Society
Fire to the enemies

International Conspiracy for Revenge (ICR)
Informal Anarchist Federation (FAI)
International Revolutionary Front (IRF)

Letter from anarchist comrade Tamara Sol Vergara, accused of the attack against Banco Estado security (Chile)

Monday, March 31st, 2014

I thank you so much for your support, I can feel your unconditional love deep in my heart. Any letter, note, delicious sweet or money support is a joy and an injection of energy in this cage. Taking advantage of the fact you’re all meeting there, I’m going to clarify some doubts that apparently are circulating here and there.

As for clarifying the facts I’m not going to say a word but rather give some signals of the situation. As far as prison is concerned, I had to face the conditions of the unit where I find myself, which is called “public connotation”. Here the jailers are trying to establish a schizophrenic “friendship” with the female prisoners, thus creating a sort of Syndrome of Stockholm [Note: Syndrome of Stockholm refers to a particular state of mind, which manifests itself after experiencing an extremely violent or traumatic episode, for example kidnapping or continuous abuse. The person with Syndrome of Stockholm being kept in captivity or being abused, comes to express positive feelings, even including love, for his or her torturer, thus establishing some sort of alliance and complicity between the victim and the torturer].
