EBN’s assault on the senses

[jwplayer config=”4_3_copy” mediaid=”4349″]
Back in the early 90’s before consumer non-linear video editing gear and before mash-ups and Youtube became household terms, there was a crew of video ninjas from the Rhode Island School of Design called Emergency Broadcast Network or EBN. These talented fuckers sampled TV news and made “video music” with bits from Daddy Bush, commercials and old VHS tapes. The result was a visual assault with scathing critiques of American consumerism and the military industrial complex. EBN’s has been a major influence in what we do here at subMedia.tv. Above is one of my favorites “Comply” but you can watch all their clips on their YouTube channel.
