The Sale Whisperer: Melbourne's best shopping September 30 - October 7

A millinery pop-up for one-off pieces, a giant suit sale and a new fashion subscription service to tickle your bargain tastebuds this week.

Also, I am heading off on leave for a few weeks but the lovely Annabel Ross will be bringing you all the best sales and news until October 21.

Happy shopping!

Sales round-up

There's been a bit of a fracas about millinery copycats but I can assure you these hat-makers are the real deal. The Millinery Association of Australia's annual pop-up is now open for business, featuring more than 300 pieces by milliners including Wendy Scully Millinery and Amelda Millinery. There will be milliners on hand each day to help you choose the perfect piece for your racing outfit.

Como Centre, corner Toorak Road and Chapel Street, South Yarra. Daily until November 6 (excluding public holidays). Check centre hours for trading times.

The Men's Suit Garage Sale has numerous suit labels at heavy discounts next weekend.

We love a mother-daughter fashion story here at TSW. Helen and Alice Scott's label, Mhoo Mhoo is having a monster online sale, with up to 80 per cent off merino and other luxe pieces.

The brand builds its range from wool and leather, to create timeless pieces that are fashion-forward but not faddish.

Online only, while stocks last.

Mhoo Mhoo is having a clearance sale of its winter range of merino and leather pieces.

The Valiram Group, Asia's leading specialist retailer, is having a warehouse sale of some of its most coveted brands this weekend. They're taking up to 90 per cent off (no, really) full priced bags, shoes, accessories, wallets and clothes from Michael Kors, Kate Spade New York, Tumi and more. At those prices, almost any purchase is entirely justifiable.

Collingwood Town Hall, 140 Hoddle Street Abbotsford, September 29-October 2. Thursday 12pm-9pm, Friday-Saturday 9am-5pm, Sunday 10am-4pm.

We don't know if these Michael Kors trainers will be at the sale but we sure hope so.

#inthecart: chambray

In preparation for my European holiday, I have been going a little chambray crazy, snapping up shorts, jogger pants and singlets.
