SMARTPHONE OTP

The Mobile Over The Page ad is an auto-initiated rich media ad type executed in a HTML5 environment. Upon completion of the page-load, either a 300x250px OTP or 300x400px OTP displays on top of a "Lightbox" style semi-transparent overlay, covering the site content for 8 seconds before collapsing into its accompanying standard Mobile Banner. The Lightbox overlay contains a standard mobile close button in the top right corner of the screen. If screen rotation is an available feature, the OTP (including the background overlay and close button) rotates with the device. In order to support the iOS platform, Mobile OTPs are only accepting static images in a web standard format (.JPG, .GIF, .PNG). Mobile OTPs are frequency capped at 1 ad impression / Unique Browser / day and so cannot be replayed.

    • Press to Call (direct connection from the phone to the advertisers call centre)
    • Press to download iOS application (link to page in App store)
    • Press to download pod cast or song from iTunes
    • Press to launch video (video will open and play in the device’s native player)
    • Press to link to your mobile site
    • Press to link to your web site (smart phone browsers are adept at allowing users to view and navigate normal websites.

  • A close button will always be added to the top right-hand corner of the OTP creative by the Fairfax team as standard (see demo). Please avoid placing any important branding/copy in this area
  • Either a 300x250px or 300x400px image is supported for the OTP image
  • OTP image will display for a maximum of 8 seconds before auto-closing
  • OTP image can be a maximum of 3 frames, not looping (see table below)
  • OTP image is capped at 1 ad impression per user per day
