Fans of grief-stricken Georgia applaud ‘superman’ Lee for stepping up following mum’s tragic death
Fans of The Bachelorette Georgia Love have reached out in the thousands, sending their condolences and kind messages of support following her mother’s tragic passing on Saturday.
Heartbroken followers have flooded to the reality TV star’s social media accounts, after a post she wrote to announce that her mum, Belinda Love, 60, had lost her short battle with pancreatic cancer.
'Utterly broken'
“My heart is utterly broken,” were the words Georgia, 28, used to describe the shock of her mum’s death after last week’s Bachelorette finale aired, and her relationship with final rose winner Lee Elliot publicly began.
In a time when Georgia should have been basking in the joy of new love with Lee, she’s now, along with her father Dr Chris Love and sister Katie facing one of her biggest challenges yet.
“There is so much more I need and want to share with you. I have no idea how to even begin to say goodbye,” Georgia said, sharing her loss with fans on social media, following Belinda’s stint in palliative care.
Mum's the word
Fans have rallied around the beautiful brunette, sending their love and prayers to the star.
“Keep talking to your mum Georgia. Listen for the unexpected replies ... she is always with you ... so much love ...,” one person wrote, while another kind follower shared her pain — “I am so sorry @georgiealove. I lost my mum to cancer two years ago and it is unimaginably and profoundly wrong. What I now know is that the loving relationship you share with your mum survives. Much love, solidarity and support to you and yours”.

Georgia’s harrowing post has so far fetched over 40,000 likes and nearly 3000 comments.
Fans also rushed to Lee Elliott’s side, who after falling in love with Georgia on The Bachelorette, now tries to support her as she copes with her crippling loss.
“You are my everything and my world! But at the same time I could not be any more saddened by what you and your family are going through right now,” Lee, 35, wrote on Instagram four days ago.
'I love you mum'
Hundreds have flocked to his social media account, with many impressed with how the Bachelorette winner is stepping up for his leading lady.
“I have no doubt you will be her rock and her superman. Destiny brought you together for a reason and this sadness will just bond you closer together. So glad you have each other. Both seem to such genuine and beautiful souls. Stay strong together,” one supporter wrote, another was equally as kind hearted — “Beautifully expressed @leeroyelliot and Georgia will appreciate you by her side loving and supporting her through the hardest time in her life. I wish much love and happiness for your future together”.
