© Evolution / Universal Language / Warp Records 1995 Written and produced by Mark Pritchard and Tom Middleton 1995 was the year that the duo known as Global Communication and Reload were heading down a new Electro path, first releasing "May The Funk Be With You" on Clear, then following up with this track "Antacid" released on Warp in conjunction with their own Evolution label. Both tracks pay homage to the Electro Funk sounds of the early to mid 80's from such pioneers as Cybotron and Afrika Bambaataa. This was one of the earlier remixes by Jedi Knights following remix duty for Bomb The Bass, Model 500, and their alias Global Communication in 1994 and 1995. They followed up this release with the outstanding Electro / Breaks album "New School Science" in 1996. This was the only release by the duo under the name Link & E621. Link was originally a Mark Pritchard solo project. In a similar set-up to "Reload & E621", the "E621" refers to Tom Middleton's co-production or "Flavour Enhancement" on the release. Whether it's their heavenly early 90's Ambient productions as Global Communication, their outstanding Techno and IDM work as Reload, their Electro and Breaks output as Jedi Knights and Link & E621,, their brief Drum & Bass excursion with LTJ Bukem under the name Chameleon, or their House tracks as Secret Ingredients, there isn't anything these two legends of Electronic Music can't do. Take also into consideration that Pritchard has worked solo or in collaboration with many other artists including Kirsty Hawkshaw (as Pulusha), Dom Fripp (as Chaos & Julia Set), and Danny Breaks (as Vertigo), and Middleton has produced House and Techno under the names Cosmos, The Mod Wheel and his first work as Schizophrenia in 1991. They both continue to make new music today, Pritchard has produced IDM, Grime, and Juke as of 2014, while Middleton released the gorgeous "Lifetracks" and "Glasstracks" albums in 2007 and 2011. When it comes to discussion about who the greatest Electronic artists of all time are, Pritchard and Middleton should be at the top.
