http://www.vladtv.com - During an interview with The Goin Way Back Show, executive producer of the upcoming 2Pac biopic L.T. Hutton addressed director John Singleton calling out the film's creators, telling fans via Instagram that "The reason I am not making this picture is because the people involved aren't really respectful of the legacy of Tupac Amaru Shakur." Hutton calls this statement "100% not true at all," believing that Singleton spoke negatively about the production not for any valid reason, but because he was fired. He says it's "dirty" of Singleton to throw those jabs publicly, not only because they aren't true, but also because the general public who doesn't know the business will take the popular director's words and run with them. See what Hutton had to say above. For more ...

The Arlington Historical Society presents Eric Buckland, who spoke about “Mosby’s Men". The commander of Mosby’s Rangers, John Singleton Mosby, is the most famous member of the unit he created – the 43rd Battalion Virginia Cavalry, but he was supremely fortunate in the quality of the men who served under him. They were young, daring, and intelligent. After the war, many went on to lead lives filled with years that surpassed the adventures and excitement of their youth, and some settled here in Arlington. Eric Buckland will tell stories of some of those “Mosby Men” who contributed so much to the lasting legacy and fame of Mosby’s Rangers. http://www.cbc.ca/strombo/ John Singleton was in the red chair recently, but there was a lot more conversation than we could fit into the broadcast. In the summer of 1991, with one bold stroke, John set off a pivotal moment in modern Hollywood history with 'Boyz n the Hood'. The movie threw a searchlight on a world few people thought about: a hard, crushing world of gang violence on the very South-Central L.A. streets where John himself grew up. 22 years on, the impact of 'Boyz n the Hood' can still be felt. After all, John was one of the first to bring hip-hop to Hollywood: he cast Ice Cube in 'Boyz', Tupac in a film called 'Poetic Justice', and Andre 3000 in 'Four Brothers'. Plus, the boy who grew up loving Star Wars and old westerns has a surprising - and until now, unknown - connectio...
