American Airlines, Inc. (AA) is a major American airline headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas. Operating an extensive international and domestic network, American Airlines is the world's largest airline by fleet size and revenue, and the second largest by number of destinations served, after United Airlines. It operates from its main hub at Dallas/Fort Worth, and its hubs at Charlotte, Chicago-O'Hare, Los Angeles, Miami, New York-JFK, New York-LaGuardia, Philadelphia, Phoenix, and Washington, D.C., while its primary maintenance base is at Tulsa International Airport. Its primary competitors are United Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and Southwest Airlines.
American Airlines is a founding member of the Oneworld airline alliance, and coordinates fares, services, and scheduling with British Airways, Iberia, and Finnair in the transatlantic market and with Japan Airlines in the transpacific market. Regional service is operated by independent and subsidiary carriers under the brand name American Eagle.
The American Airlines Center (AAC) is a multi-purpose arena, located in the Victory Park neighborhood, near downtown Dallas, Texas.
The venue serves as the home to the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association, and the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League. The arena is also used for concerts and other live entertainment. It opened in 2001 at a cost of $420 million.
By 1998, the Dallas Mavericks, then owned by H. Ross Perot, Jr., and the Dallas Stars were indicating their desire for a new facility to replace the dated Reunion Arena. Dallas taxpayers approved a new hotel tax and rental car tax to pay for a new facility to cover a portion of the funding, with the two benefiting teams, the Mavericks and the Stars, picking up the remaining costs, including cost overruns. The new arena was to be built just north of Woodall Rodgers Freeway near Interstate 35E on the site of an old power plant.
On March 18, 1999, American Airlines announced that it would be acquiring the naming rights for the arena for US$195 million. American Airlines is headquartered in Fort Worth and is based at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

The Dallas Stars are a professional ice hockey team based in Dallas, Texas. They are members of the Central Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). The team was founded during the 1967 NHL expansion as the Minnesota North Stars, based in Bloomington, Minnesota. Before the beginning of the 1978–79 NHL season, the team merged with the Cleveland Barons after the league granted them permission due to each team's respective financial struggles. Ultimately, the franchise relocated to Dallas for the 1993–94 NHL season. The Stars played out of Reunion Arena from their relocation until 2001, when the team moved less than 1.5 miles into the American Airlines Center.
The Stars have won seven division titles in Dallas, two President's Trophies as the top regular season team in the NHL, the Western Conference championship twice, and in 1998–99, the Stanley Cup. (The Dallas Stars became the first NHL team based in a sub tropical city, from the 35th parallel north to win a Stanley Cup.) Joe Nieuwendyk won the Conn Smythe Trophy as the most valuable player of the playoffs that year.

After the show I took it for a few laps while they set up for a mavericks game then sent it down the hallway to the loading docks and the busses. 0:05 takeoff 1:45 almost hit a rope 2:25 perfect landing 2:36 not done yet
On March 12, 2016, the American Airlines Center hosted 2 games back to back. Watch how we went from the Dallas Mavericks court to the Dallas Stars ice in under 2 hours!
This was captured on November 15, 2014, in Dallas, Texas, during a doubleheader of a Dallas Stars (NHL) hockey game, and a Dallas Mavericks (NBA) basketball game. The hockey game started at 1pm in the afternoon, ended at about 3:30pm, and there was a 4-hour window, before the basketball game tipped off at 7:30pm. The process of fully converting the seating configuration, from hockey to basketball, took about 2 hours. The basketball court was removed immediately after the basketball game, due to a concert taking place on the following day. For those of us who worked both games, it was a long day! Our new logo, including our new, modern Flight Symbol, went on the American Airlines Center in Dallas this week -- just one more step in implementing a new and more modern look to our airline. Though it will take time to fully modernize every place that our name touches, the Center is another step in that process.
