Five people, including a child, have been rushed to hospital after the speedboat they were on caught fire off South Stradbroke Island.
Emergency services, including paramedics and water police responded to Tipplers Beach on South Stradbroke Island after reports of a boat fire about 10am.
Five people, one five-year-old boy and four adults aged in their 20s and 30s, jumped from the vessel as it caught fire.

Rescue helicopters were tasked to the beach as paramedics treated all five people for burns.
The five year old boy remained in Lady Cilento Children's Hospital in a serious condition on Monday morning boy after suffering burns to his face and arms.
The four adults suffered burns to their arms and legs. Two were airlifted to Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital while the other two were transported to Gold Coast University Hospital.

It is understood the boat was close to shore when the vessel caught fire causing its occupants to leap into the water.
Police said initial reports indicated the group swam to a nearby boat before emergency services arrived.
