Four people have been arrested and police are hunting a gunman after a shooting in Melbourne's north-east.
A man aged in his 40s, was shot in the shoulder at a home on Malahang Parade in Heidelberg West just before 9am on Sunday.

He has been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities believe the victim knew the offender, who fled the scene in a car.
The armed crime squad is investigating the incident, a police spokeswoman said.
