Iraqi security forces, in close coordination with Kurdish Peshmerga fighters, have consolidated control over more towns and villages around the key Daesh-held city of Mosul.
Brigadier Nijem al Jabour added that security forces have managed to wrest control of a powerplant some 30 kilometers south of Mosul. Up to 30 villages, including Hararah and Saffiya, have been freed so far. Earlier, Iraqi troops alongside Kurdish Peshmerga liberated Bashiqa from Daesh terrorists. The strategic town is located just 12 miles northeast of Mosul. The latest gains come as the UN says more than 4 thousand people have fled the areas near Mosul since the start of the operations. On Monday, Iraqi army, backed by Peshmerga and Popular Mobilization Forces, launched the operation to liberate Mosul, the terrorists’ last bastion in Iraq.

The Iraqi army, backed by Peshmerga fighters and Popular Mobilization Units, has freed nearly 30 villages from ISIL so far. Meanwhile, the United Nations said that more than 4-thousand people have fled areas around the city since the start of the operation. The UN also said that their teams have delivered food, water and other supplies to the displaced people. Iraqi forces started the Mosul operation on Monday. They are now 5 kilometers away from the Daesh-held city which is considered the terrorists’ last stronghold in Iraq.

This footage was taken on the Turkish Military Base in North Iraq, where the Kurdish Peshmerga's receive training on how to combat ISIS. Turkey has 7 Military Bases in North Iraq, some of these bases give support to the Peshmerga. This training program which started in October 2014 is still continuing. This due to the good relations of the Turkish government with the Barzani administration.

Bashiqa
Bashiqa (Arabic: بعشيقة, Syriac: ܒܝܬ ܥܫܝܩܐ), is an historically Assyrian town located in the Mosul District of the Ninawa Governorate in Assyria, northern Iraq. Its name comes from the Assyrian Neo-Aramaic words "Bet" and "Ashiqa," meaning "House of lovers." Bashiqa's residents are mostly Kurds (Yazidis and Shabaks) as well as a minority of Assyrians, and Arabs Muslims. Bashiqa is famous for its olive trees, olive oil, and soap. It is also famous with its onion, pickles and arak. It used to be a tourist destination to the locals in Mosul and Iraqis in general. Bashiqa is surrounded with a small mountain to the north and farms of olives all around the town.
In 2007, the town square was the location of the Murder of Du'a Khalil Aswad, a Yazidi woman who was stoned to death by a crowd.
In 2012, car bombs went off in the town.
In June 2014, when ISIL militia took over the city, they changed the name to Du'a city.
Yazidi civilians fled the city in 2014. The region has seen fighting between ISIL and Kurdish Peshmerga forces, but was under ISIL control in August 2015.

Iraqi security forces, in close coordination with Kurdish Peshmerga fighters, have consolidated control over more towns and villages around the key Daesh-held city of Mosul.
Brigadier Nijem al Jabour added that security forces have managed to wrest control of a powerplant some 30 kilometers south of Mosul. Up to 30 villages, including Hararah and Saffiya, have been freed so far. Earlier, Iraqi troops alongside Kurdish Peshmerga liberated Bashiqa from Daesh terrorists. Brave Kurdish Female Fighters Defend Kobani Against ISIS
For last few weeks the #Kurdish town of Kobani in Syrian Kurdistan is surrounded by ISIS terrorist, brave female Kurdish fighters with some light Soviet arms fight the heavy equipped ISIS terrorist.
