A middle-aged woman Damini runs a racket of fraud and identity theft on a big scale. She is contacted by a man called Girish for a client in Delhi. She is told to send a young woman to impersonate a lost heiress Swati. The mysterious client provides her with all the things and information necessary for creating identity proofs and a perfect impersonation. Damini’s accomplice Udita takes place of Swati and lands up at a famous industrialist Balwant’s house in Delhi whose daughter Swati has been missing for 16 years. Swati is accepted in the house with open arms and within a month Udita/Swati swindles the family without their knowledge. She flees the house, cheating both the client and Damini. The client sends Girish after Udita to punish her for double crossing them. Girish murders Udita in the train and beheads her so that she is never traced. The head is stuffed in a handbag and it lands up for sale in a boutique. CID finds the head and gets on the case. The cops find the head and trace it back to Delhi. The culprit turns out to be Balwant himself who used the identity of his lost daughter to pay back his huge debts by hiring Udita to play Swati.
