I took a day trip up to Washington D.C. to have some fun at Gravelly Point Park. It's only about a 15 minute walk from the terminal, just north of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (KDCA). I hope you enjoy!
Filmed 2/8/15
I had an excellent side view of aircraft landing in the morning with the sunrise in the background. Later in the day, I switched to a spot right in front of the runway.
The highlight of the day was an American Airlines 737-800 that made an emergency landing after suffering a cracked windshield. Click here for the video: http://youtu.be/SasW6TWF9nY
Also, I caught two AWE special liveries throughout the day: the Pittsburgh Steelers (N733UW) and Carolina Panthers (N717UW) at x:xx and x:xx respectively.
Air traffic communications are from my Radio Shack Pro 404 handheld scanner.
