Rabah Asma est un chanteur algérien de musique kabyle, né en 1962 à Redjaouna, dans la commune de Tizi Ouzou en Kabylie (Algérie)
Dès son plus jeune âge, Rabah est comparé à ses idoles Cheikh El Hasnaoui, Slimane Azem ou encore Lounis Ait Menguellet
Ne réussissant pas à obtenir d'aide financière en Algérie, Rabah immigre à Paris où il rencontre Salah Sadaoui, chanteur algérien et propriétaire d'un restaurant musical.
En 1985, avec sa chanson Thanina, Rabah Asma qu'il se fait connaître du public algérie
En 1987, son album Ayadho (« Ô Vent ») connaît un très grand succès.

Lani Rabah est un auteur compositeur interprète algérien d’expression amazighe. Il est né en 1973 à Maatka, en Kabylie. Il a huit albums à son actif. Sa rencontre avec la musique n’était pas un hasard. Il aime l’art comme tout le monde, mais ses rapports avec la chanson sont plus profonds qu’un simple déclic : «Je peux dire que, dans mon cas, l’art est une question d’hérédité. Je tiens cela de ma famille à commencer par mon grand-père. Depuis ma tendre enfance, j’avais des instruments à ma disposition et je les manipulais à ma guise. D’ailleurs, le Mondole est mon ami d’enfance, j’aime jouer avec. ». À l’instar des enfants algériens, Rabah a fréquenté l’école tout en se doutant de sa qualité. Arrivé au collège, il a décidé de la quitter. La musique, son amour, sa passion a eu raison des études. Il quitte donc le lycée pour se consacrer à sa passion : « Je suis un amoureux de la beauté de l’art et de la musique. » Dès ses débuts, les connaisseurs du monde artistique avaient détecté son génie et étaient persuadés qu’il aura une carrière prometteuse, voire unique. De sa Kabylie natale, son génie a su créer des mélodies envoutantes et magistralement belles. En effet, il a pu marier les genres musicaux tout en gardant le cachet du terroir kabyle. A-t-il été influencé par certains artistes ? Rabah dira : « Non. J’ai plutôt des idoles comme Ferhat Mhenni, Matoub Lounès, El Hasnaoui, Ait Menguellet et tant d’autres, mais j’ai mon propre style. »
Lani Rabah n’a pas étudié la musique, mais il a l’oreille musicale. Il est très à l’aise avec tous les styles musicaux qui ont conquis la terre algérienne. Cependant, ce qui importe pour lui est surtout la qualité du produit final : « Il n’y a pas un style proprement kabyle. Il y a plusieurs genres musicaux qu’on côtoie. Ceci étant dit, pour moi, ce qui compte dans la chanson ou dans l’art en général, c’est la beauté qui s’y dégage. » L’artiste a beaucoup d’ambition et d’exigences pour parfaire son art, mais les moyens en font défaut : « Les studios d’enregistrements ne sont pas équipés de matériels sophistiqués pour améliorer la sonorité des œuvres. Tout est cher. Le pouvoir n’aide pas les artistes et ne se soucie pas vraiment de l’art, le vrai. »

It has an area of 2,433 km² and a population of 149,165 at the 2006 census.
The postal code of the area is 842.
Rabah was the home town of Sir Ahmadu Bello the first Premier of Northern Nigeria. He succeeded his father as the head of Rabah District in 1934.

Plot: The movie takes place in a poverty-stricken, rent-controlled neighborhood on the outskirts of Paris. Algerian immigrants, many of whom are in France illegally, the place has earned the nickname of "100%Arabica". It's a rough neighborhood - crime is rampant, gangs of juvenile delinquents roam the streets, and the police are afraid to patrol the area. When the out-of-touch mayor decides that he wants to restore order to the area, he offers a subsidy to Slimane, the imam of the local mosque. If Slimane can get people off the streets, the mayor will continue the payments. Soon the byways of 100%Arabica are almost peaceful - but not because of something Slimane has done. The reason is that a new Rai Band, Rap Oriental, has taken the neighborhood by storm...

Je tiens cela de ma famille à commencer par mon grand-père. Depuis ma tendre enfance, j’avais des instruments à ma disposition et je les manipulais à ma guise. D’ailleurs, le Mondole est mon ami d’enfance, j’aime jouer avec. ». À l’instar des enfants algériens, Rabah a fréquenté l’école tout en se doutant de sa qualité. Arrivé au collège, il a décidé de la quitter. La musique, son amour, sa passion a eu raison des études. Il quitte donc le lycée pour se consacrer à sa passion : « Je suis un amoureux de la beauté de l’art et de la musique. » Dès ses débuts, les connaisseurs du monde artistique avaient détecté son génie et étaient persuadés qu’il aura une carrière prometteuse, voire unique. De sa Kabylie natale, son génie a su créer des mélodies envoutantes et magistralement belles. En effet, il a pu marier les genres musicaux tout en gardant le cachet du terroir kabyle. A-t-il été influencé par certains artistes ? Rabah dira : « Non. J’ai plutôt des idoles comme Ferhat Mhenni, Matoub Lounès, El Hasnaoui, Ait Menguellet et tant d’autres, mais j’ai mon propre style. »
Lani Rabah n’a pas étudié la musique, mais il a l’oreille musicale. Il est très à l’aise avec tous les styles musicaux qui ont conquis la terre algérienne. Cependant, ce qui importe pour lui est surtout la qualité du produit final : « Il n’y a pas un style proprement kabyle. Il y a plusieurs genres musicaux qu’on côtoie. Ceci étant dit, pour moi, ce qui compte dans la chanson ou dans l’art en général, c’est la beauté qui s’y dégage. » L’artiste a beaucoup d’ambition et d’exigences pour parfaire son art, mais les moyens en font défaut : « Les studios d’enregistrements ne sont pas équipés de matériels sophistiqués pour améliorer la sonorité des œuvres. Tout est cher. Le pouvoir n’aide pas les artistes et ne se soucie pas vraiment de l’art, le vrai. »
