Harry & Rhonda Triguboff

Article "Skyscrapper" (24/6/2016, p5) reported on legal proceedings between Harry and Rhonda Triguboff, the Body Corporate of the Silverpoint building on the Gold Coast and one of the Triguboff's neighbours in the building. An order made in May 2016 which had not been previously published was subsequently brought to The Courier-Mail's attention. The order held that the Triguboff's were not liable to pay any of the costs of the balcony repairs.

Peter Wellington

On p39 of The Courier-Mail on October 17, 2015 in “Irritant of the Week” it was reported independent speaker Peter Wellington voted with Labor to allow discredited union thugs to return to construction work sites. This was incorrect. In fact, Mr Wellington voted against one part of the relevant Bill and was not required to cast his vote on the part relating to right of entry provisions as the government already had the majority. The Courier-Mail regrets the error and apologises to Mr Wellington.

Darren Smith

In a story headlined “Lawyers try for dismissal of Titans cocaine charges” published yesterday, we named former NRL player Darren Smith as being charged over an alleged involvement in a cocaine cartel. This was a mistake and The Courier-Mail is happy to confirm that Mr Smith was not involved and does not face any charges in relation to this matter. The Courier-Mail apologises to Mr Smith for the error.

Gerard Bradley

On 3 November 2012 we published an article on page 60 titled “Parties swap roles over health payroll”, relating to the Queensland Health payroll system. lf any readers understood the story to say that former State Under Treasurer Gerard Bradley had engaged in any corrupt activity or in any activity adverse to his integrity, we wish to clarify that neither was ever intended and we apologise to Mr Bradley and his family for any hurt and embarrassment the story may have caused.

Justice John Logan

The article “Jetset judges off again on ‘secret’ NZ trip” (p14, 14/09/2015) reported that some Queensland Supreme Court judges were attending a taxpayer-funded conference in Wellington after recently returning from travelling on their winter break, but details of their trip were refused. Federal Court judge John Logan was also mentioned in this article. He is a speaker at the conference, which he is attending at his own expense, having taken leave, and details of his attendance were not blocked. Justice Logan was on duty during July, has not been on other recent international travel and is not attending the conference scheduled recreation day. The Courier-Mail apologises for these errors.

Ronald Cross and Kellie Cross

On 17 August 2010, we published an article entitled “Court told Ron Cross real estate firm pocketed commission on inflated unit prices” about court proceedings involving Ron Cross and Kellie Cross. That article was not a fair report of those proceedings, and created an unfair impression about Ron Cross and Kelly Cross in that it did not make clear the Magistrate rejected the evidence about alleged inflated property prices and that part of the case was abandoned.

The Courier-Mail withdraws any suggestion in the article unfairly critical of Ron Cross and Kellie Cross, and apologises to them without reservation for our error.
