Asakusa Station (浅草駅) may refer to:
Asakusa (浅草) is a district in Taitō, Tokyo, Japan, famous for the Sensō-ji, a Buddhist temple dedicated to the bodhisattva Kannon. There are several other temples in Asakusa, as well as various festivals.
The development of Asakusa as an entertainment district during the Edo period came about in part because of the neighboring district, Kuramae. Kuramae was a district of storehouses for rice, which was then used as payment for servants of the feudal government. The keepers (fudasashi) of these storage houses initially stored the rice for a small fee, but over the years began exchanging the rice for money or selling it to local shopkeepers at a margin. Through such trading, many fudasashi came to have a considerable amount of disposable income and as result theaters and geisha houses began to spring up in nearby Asakusa.
For most of the twentieth century, Asakusa remained a major entertainment district in Tokyo. The rokku or "Sixth District" was in particular famous as a theater district, featuring famous cinemas such as the Denkikan. The golden years of Asakusa are vividly portrayed in Yasunari Kawabata's novel The Scarlet Gang of Asakusa (1930; English translation, 2005). The area was heavily damaged by US bombing raids during World War II, particularly the March 1945 firebombing of Tokyo. The area was rebuilt after the war, but has now been surpassed by Shinjuku and other colorful areas in the city, in its role as a pleasure district.
The Toei Asakusa Line (都営地下鉄浅草線, Toei Chikatetsu Asakusa-sen) is a subway line in Tokyo, Japan, operated by the Tokyo subway operator Toei Subway. The line runs between Nishi-Magome in Ōta and Oshiage in Sumida. The Asakusa Line was the first subway line in Japan to offer through services with a private railway. Today, it has more through services to other lines than any other subway line in Tokyo. Keikyu operates through trains on the Keikyu Main Line to Misakiguchi and the Keikyu Airport Line to Haneda Airport. The Keisei Electric Railway operates through trains on the Keisei Oshiage Line to Inba-Nihon-Idai and the Keisei Main Line to Narita Airport, and the Shibayama Railway runs trains via the Keisei Main Line and the Shibayama Railway Line to Shibayama-Chiyoda.
On maps and signboards, the line is shown in "rose" (O). Stations carry the letter "A" followed by a two-digit number.
The Toei Asakusa Line was the first subway line constructed by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. Its planning name is Line 1: it was later named after the famous Asakusa district of Tokyo. In its original plan form, the line would have actually bypassed Asakusa Station entirely. However, the plan was changed to take advantage of the existing Tōbu Isesaki Line and Tokyo Metro Ginza Line connections at Asakusa.

Tokyo (東京, Tōkyō, "Eastern Capital") (Japanese: [toːkjoː], English /ˈtoʊki.oʊ/), officially Tokyo Metropolis (東京都, Tōkyō-to), is one of the 47 prefectures of Japan, and is both the capital and largest city of Japan. The Greater Tokyo Area is the most populous metropolitan area in the world. It is the seat of the Emperor of Japan and the Japanese government. Tokyo is in the Kantō region on the southeastern side of the main island Honshu and includes the Izu Islands and Ogasawara Islands. Formerly known as Edo, it has been the de facto seat of government since 1603 when Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu made the city his headquarters. It officially became the capital after Emperor Meiji moved his seat to the city from the old capital of Kyoto in 1868; at that time Edo was renamed Tokyo. Tokyo Metropolis was formed in 1943 from the merger of the former Tokyo Prefecture (東京府, Tōkyō-fu) and the city of Tokyo (東京市, Tōkyō-shi).

My wife and I took a trip to Tokyo again, our fourth one overall, during the peak of summer to show my in-laws around. Asakusa station is a major interchange and a terminal station for both the Ginza and Tobu lines. Tobu Asakusa Station (東武 浅草駅) is the flagship station for Tobu Railways in Tokyo, Japan. This station brings tourists and other travelers to Asakusa, which is the destination for the world famous Sensoji Temple and the newly opened Tokyo Sky Tree (tallest man made tower in the world). See my video of Tokyo Sky Tree. Also, Tobu Railways runs trains from Asakusa to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Nikko Temples and Shrines. The buses and the routes inside Nikko and other Tochigi prefecture based hot spas are all owned by Tobu Railways. Tobu railways also owns "Tobu World Square", a theme park which contains miniature buildings all world's important destinations (for ex: Eiffel Tower in Paris). Enjoy!!!
These prices are valid destination from Asakusa Station.
